If that god really wanted to make it up to Adeline, he should have offered both keeping her child and then turning them to a Dehva after. Like why did she have to choose? In the end, Ray is gonna be alone for all eternity. Immortality really isn't all it's cracked up to be if it means eternal suffering and missing someone.
