A lot of comments focus on the lack of justice but that's probably what made this all the more realistic. The rape scene truly left me shaking, and the aftermath is even more heartbreaking. But the way that absolutely nothing is done is just... exactly how it happens in real life. The omega doesn't 'get better' through retribution and the alpha doesn't go out to get revenge and we don't even know what happens to the bastard. They just help each other, because it is what they can do. They heal as best as they can, which doesn't make it all better and it doesn't erase what happened, and that's... bittersweet, but also leaves me with fluttering optimism that maybe we all can heal with time too, here in the real world.
