I think there is much more potential to this story than what was shown. They completely forgot the emperor's relationship with his son. The emperor changed his abusive behavior towards the honored guest, but never his kid. I wish they would've also grown together and become more of a family. Just left me feeling a bit cold.

It was so dramatic and good, but still had some plotholes and storylines that just never finished, like does his husband still think he slept with his sibling? It never showed them mention it ever again but I feel like things like these should have been resolved.
