ngl i was sitting on the fence bc like the canon reaction of "isn't this pseudo inc**t" with taylor and jimmy were very much correct and i hated the ship, and then there was henry. didn't know if he was supposed to be the antagonist or a rival. but then he started showing up more slowly and in more romantic subtexts. soon enough he became a love interest and an even better one than taylor. like WOAH. i didn't think i would ever see a series ballsy enough to bait the audience with a ship only to develop a better, more powerful ship in the end. and soon enough i was rooting for henry and jimmy fully. there's something about this slow progress of hate to dislike to defending to falling in love that was so powerful. and the fact that henry was endgame truly had me shocked bc i like it SOOO much better than taylor or mason. i need to see more switch ups like this bc wow. they had the standard ship and then let the story develop and let an even better ship with better dynamics and context to shine.
