Punch Drunk Love
I had such a hard time getting past the first 20-30 chapters. They're both so annoying, oh my gosh. The main character is a creepy loser and even the love interest (who’s a complete asshole) tells him that TO HIS FACE and the ml still doesn’t take a hint. I admire his positivity in the face of constant adversity, but it wasn’t enough for me to like him. As for the love interest, what an absolute dickhead. Treating him rough and berating him, not standing up for him when their coworkers were talking behind his back and they were emotionally involved at that point. I didn’t like a single character in this book. ): Their dynamic does get better around chapter 35-40 but I still can’t bring myself to like it or them. Also, the miscommunication is so bad and it goes on for so long. For such a short story, they came up with the most outrageous piece of misinformation imaginable LMAO. I feel like this should be labeled as a comedy more than anything else.
