Hitori to Hitori no 3650nichi

Complete | hitomi | 2019 released

This was generally a really heartbreakingly beautiful story. It really encompasses an example of a situation where a person cannot forgive themselves for what they did so they deal with that pain by hurting themselves, nicely. While this exact situation may not be real, the author definitely expressed those emotions of pain, retreat, and guilt through their writing very well. The dialogue between the characters and especially their facial expressions was on point and really helped add even more emotion and depth to the story. I also really loved the author's art style for both stories, it is briefly mentioned in the "authors comments" that they produced both stories within the span of 3 years. You could see how their art style changed and gotten better while at the same time still was able to maintain that aspect unique to this author. Overall I generally did enjoy reading this story, and it gave me my dose of sadness that I need once and a while when reading tons of BL's daily.

My Home Your Oneroom

Complete | Tsukizuki Yoshi | 2017 released

This was a pretty good read, for the most part, we had good characters, an interesting plot, and nice art. The pacing kinda threw me off just because everything is so straightforward, like how they get into a relationship, and how the story felt like it progressed so fast. This felt like an incredibly short read, which may sound stupid bc DUH of course it's short bc it only has 5 chapters but still which how everything progressed I SPED thru the story. Anyway, I liked the characters especially that one particular side character (seriously he deserves more credit he's an awesome friend), and I liked the art style, the character design is well done and so pleasing to look at. Overall this wasn't a bad story but ngl I actually really liked the one-shot at the end ( maybe even more than the main :/ ).

Kyuuhankagai Fukurokouji

Complete | Tamekou | 2019 released

This was ... an interesting read, it wasn't bad, it stayed true to the synopsis and delivered a nice story with a really depressing underlining. The original story was well done, I really liked the characters, and the way the author revealed everything was nice too. I especially loved the art, this particular author has a pretty distinct art style. I really loved the way they drew facial expressions, it just made everything hurt even more. Tbh tho those one-shots came outta nowhere and I was NOT ready for the first one, but the second one ... WILD. I would love to have a follow up story on that one. Once I realized what was going on, holy moly that was interesting. Overall this was a good read, it's not one of my favorite stories from this author but it definitely hit me in the feels for a bit.

App

Complete | Potion | 2000 released

This was short and sweet and got to the point. I liked this, it was a pretty good read, the plot was interesting, we had really nice characters, and I really liked the art style. Overall the ending of the manhwa was pretty obvious, we knew what would happen, but this story was good none-the-less. It would have been nice to see things playout within the plot but given that this is only 4 chapters, the author solved the main issue very well. I also liked the art style, the character design is well done and I LOVE BEEFY BOTTOMS nvowefnvowesnv yes. OVerall this was a pretty good read.

Ao no Flag

Complete | Kaito | 2000 released

Hatsukoi no Tonari

Complete | UNO Yukiaki | 2016 released

This was a super wholesome and sweet read, there was a nice plot and I really liked the pacing of the relationship between the main characters. It didn't feel too rushed or too slow, and I really liked how it didn't purely revolve around some type of sexual relationship like most BL would do (which isn't a bad thing but this was a nice breath of fresh air). Despite it, having teacher/student relationship qualities certain aspects of the story felt so real and natural, I really liked how the author portrayed that. I'm also a huge sucker for Domestic au's so this gave me serotonin. Also, I absolutely love the art style, the character design is really well done, and their facial expressions hurt me in all the best ways. Overall this was a nice read and I would recommend this to any BL reader who wants some nice fluff with not too much drama.

Ao no Tsubomi

Complete | natsume tsuno | 2000 released

I've read this author's other stories and for the most part, I do really like their works, however, I think that this one was definitely not their most memorable. We had a great plot and the author set it up well but there were some weak areas in my opinion. The excuses for not speaking up, the odd relationship they both had because one could not let go that dragged on for so long yet they didn't even have sex until just recently, some of these factors made the plot weak. I also feel that if the author is to use the ex-girlfriend as the factor to help push the main characters into a relationship, then she should be more relevant. The drama felt weaker than how the author's previous stories were. Still, I did enjoy the ending and I will forever love this author's art style but this is definitely not one of my favorites out of all their works.

Muka Tsuku Douryou to Sefure ni Narimashita

Complete | U | 2017 released

I honestly really liked this, the comedic aspect of this was FREAKING AMAZING, I laughed at something every chapter, it was great. I was not expecting multiple stories (I should start reading the tags more) but with the way the author did them I'm not mad and I was pleasantly surprised. Also can we PLEASE give the author recognition for connecting their multiple stories and making them all in the same universe canon, bc I literally SCREAMED when I realized on the last chapter. I LOVE when authors do that, it was so great and so funny because we even got to see a small glimpse of them interacting. I genuinely liked just about every story in here and I really liked how the author made each character "unique" and somewhat memorable. The art is really well done, I really like the art style and character design. Overall this was such an entertaining read and if this author continues to release more stories I will definitely read them (maybe not for the plot, but more for the comedy). I hope the author will make sequels to a few more of these one-shots!!!
