Hitori to Hitori no 3650nichi

Complete | hitomi | 2019 released

This was generally a really heartbreakingly beautiful story. It really encompasses an example of a situation where a person cannot forgive themselves for what they did so they deal with that pain by hurting themselves, nicely. While this exact situation may not be real, the author definitely expressed those emotions of pain, retreat, and guilt through their writing very well. The dialogue between the characters and especially their facial expressions was on point and really helped add even more emotion and depth to the story. I also really loved the author's art style for both stories, it is briefly mentioned in the "authors comments" that they produced both stories within the span of 3 years. You could see how their art style changed and gotten better while at the same time still was able to maintain that aspect unique to this author. Overall I generally did enjoy reading this story, and it gave me my dose of sadness that I need once and a while when reading tons of BL's daily.

Kyuuhankagai Fukurokouji

Complete | Tamekou | 2019 released

This was ... an interesting read, it wasn't bad, it stayed true to the synopsis and delivered a nice story with a really depressing underlining. The original story was well done, I really liked the characters, and the way the author revealed everything was nice too. I especially loved the art, this particular author has a pretty distinct art style. I really loved the way they drew facial expressions, it just made everything hurt even more. Tbh tho those one-shots came outta nowhere and I was NOT ready for the first one, but the second one ... WILD. I would love to have a follow up story on that one. Once I realized what was going on, holy moly that was interesting. Overall this was a good read, it's not one of my favorite stories from this author but it definitely hit me in the feels for a bit.

This was alright but kinda hard to get through because I couldn't stop cringing the whole time ... whoops. This wasn't bad but not particularly one of my favorites.

Kudou Sensei no Majestic Days

Complete | FUJIMINE Shiki | 2017 released

Idk why everyone is so harsh on the author for making the plot and characters the way they are, I thought this manga was fucking hilarious, I almost laughed at every panel. As for the plot haters, THIS WASN'T WRITTEN FOR THE PLOT, obviously, no one is here for the plot have you SEEN the cover!!! Overall I thought this was great, the story was freaking hilarious and entertaining, weird, YES, but it was good none the less. The characters were well written (not in the sense of great character development, but more so in entertainment/comedic value), and the art was super nice too, the character designs were amazing. Ngl I was lowkey vouching for the ex-bf but I am not mad with how the story turned out, it was super entertaining. Also I honestly really enjoyed the one-shot, I would totally read a full story with those characters.

Hana To Usagi

Complete | kashima chiaki | 2013 released

This was super funny and oddly wholesome at times, I really love how the author progressed the relationship between the main characters. This was a generally funny story and I really enjoyed reading all the interactions the couple had with each other. I normally don't read multiple story manga but I also really enjoyed the two other one-shots. They were both really interesting and well done. I also adore this author's art style, just like in their other manga their characters designs are well done, and I love how they draw facial expressions. Overall this was a sweet read and I would recommend this to other BL readers.

Akihabara Fall In Love

Complete | kashima chiaki | 2014 released

This was a pretty cute read, the main plot's story was pretty standard the whole "I'm straight but I'm only gay for you" but overall it wasn't bad. I liked the otaku aspect of the story because it helped overall with the comedic part of the story, and I really liked the dynamic between the characters and their funny interactions. I really liked this particular author's stories because they have a really nice art style and their plots are usually pretty well done. That being said this one isn't my favorite manga by them but still was a pretty good read.

Unknown (taratsumi John)

Complete | taratsumi john | 2015 released

I really need to start looking at the tags before starting a new manga, I am not a big fan of one-shots especially multiple story one-shots. I find it a bit confusing and it skips over crucial parts of each story that I want to know more about but can't because its a one-shot :( HOWEVER, I did enjoy reading this one, I was not expecting it to be as dark as it was but those themes were not unwelcomed. There were stories that I liked more than others though, Chapter 6 was definitely my favorite, I really loved the plot, the characters, and the overall message within the story. There is also, just something about chapters 2 and 5 that made me really like those stories. I liked the way those were set up (plot-wise) and how they were told because this author really has a way with words. Also, the ART STYLE is so cool and very well done, there is just something about it that really helped give the story the "dark themes" they had. Overall this wasn't a bad read, I might even go read some of this author's other works.

Muka Tsuku Douryou to Sefure ni Narimashita

Complete | U | 2017 released

I honestly really liked this, the comedic aspect of this was FREAKING AMAZING, I laughed at something every chapter, it was great. I was not expecting multiple stories (I should start reading the tags more) but with the way the author did them I'm not mad and I was pleasantly surprised. Also can we PLEASE give the author recognition for connecting their multiple stories and making them all in the same universe canon, bc I literally SCREAMED when I realized on the last chapter. I LOVE when authors do that, it was so great and so funny because we even got to see a small glimpse of them interacting. I genuinely liked just about every story in here and I really liked how the author made each character "unique" and somewhat memorable. The art is really well done, I really like the art style and character design. Overall this was such an entertaining read and if this author continues to release more stories I will definitely read them (maybe not for the plot, but more for the comedy). I hope the author will make sequels to a few more of these one-shots!!!

Tonde Hi Ni Iru Natsu No Neko

This was a pretty good read, I liked the concept, overall it was pretty interesting and entertaining. I have to admit though that this is not quite my cup of tea, I don't usually read multiple stories/one-shots because I love reading for the drama and slow-burn plot which is (sometimes) hard to grasp with shorter stories. With this particular story, it wasn't too bad but I did have a clear favorite (the last story/chapter) which made my opinions on the other stories lower (still liked them though don't get me wrong). Overall this wasn't a bad read, I thought it had a pretty interesting concept but I just don't vibe with multiple stories because I like focusing on one main couple.

Uemura-kun ha Majime na Iiko

Complete | megane | 2018 released

I didn't realize the author for this also wrote Wotakoi: Love is hard for an otaku I am SCREAMINGGGGG. The overall concept for this story wasn't bad, it wasn't too cliche and I really liked it. I also really liked the dynamic of the characters, and while the troupe of the uke being the oldest isn't my favorite I didn't mind it in this manga. Also, can we give some kudos to the author and seme because that aftercare and the way the main characters interacted together was soooo sweet!!! Overall this was a good read!!!
