23-Ji no Time Shift
All three stories were pretty mediocre in terms of plot and sex scenes, I really do like the art though. All three stories had nice and unique looking characters. I didn't realize until now but I have actually already read the last two manga beforehand, so I was surprised to find out they were all drawn/written by the same author. Overall this was an ok read and going by yaoi standards should satisfy any thirsty fujoshi/fudanshi for the time being.
Ezuke wa Yahan, Ano Heya de
This whole manga was generally an amazing read. I don't normally read one-shots, I hate being left unsatisfied because I always end up wanting more content. But these stories were well done and very satisfying, for how short they were, each story had a well-set plot and great characters. I really liked how the author ended up connecting the first three stories together and we even got to see all the characters interacting with each other. Another thing I liked about this manga was the art style! The author's character design was great and even though there were so many different main characters they ended up differentiating each one, and I fell in love with all of them. Their proportions, facial expressions, clothing, and even the backgrounds were on point. The only thing that left me confused was the very last story, it felt like it kinda just came out of nowhere (but in no way am I complaining). The storyline was not connected unlike the first three, and I was not expecting a zombie au when the main reason I read this was for the vampires. I have to say that the last story was definitely my favorite, of course, I would have loved for it to have ended differently but it seemed very befitting. It definitely broke my heart a bit. Overall this was a great read and I highly recommend this to any yaoi audience.
Torokeru hodo ni kamaretai
Classic abo story but with an already estabished relationship. This was cute and I liked the art style.
Toriaezu Kiss Shite Kudasai
This was so cute! Both stories had a nice polt despite how short they were, and the art style was really nice as well. But fr was I the only one who just really enjoyed the first one? I have seen too many comments about the second one, and don't get me wrong, I absolutely adored that one, but I really just loved the first one tho. I would love to see more content with the first couple, their story was funny and sweet, and just those specific moments where you could tell just how much they really loved each other HURT ME. Overall both stories were a good read, and I would love to see more of this author's content!
Drugless Sex
Okkkkkk. I really enjoyed reading this one. First off THE ART. UGGHHHH I literally fell in love with every single character the author threw our way. There is just something so pleasing about looking and reading about each of these characters. I love the semi-realism elements the author has with their style, and they just really know how to draw attractive men UGH. Anyway secondly this whole concept is pretty cool, yea of course it's a pretty cliche sounding troupe especially for a BL but man the author executed it very well. I liked having the multiple stories (which is something I don't often like). With other BL, multiple stories tend to either mess up the pacing or one just tends to be much better than the other. For this, the author did well to pace each story and they really showcased each "couple" very well. Each story was different from one another while still tying to the over concept of the "pheromone disease". Overall this was an amazing read and I had such a great time going through each couples stories, some of them jsut made me laugh anf awe so hard. I generally would reccomend this to anyone looking for a funny yet smutty read, especially if they tend to like omegaverse troupes (bc this is pretty similar no cap).
Amaeru Kubiwa
Tbh this was a bit confusing to read bc I was not expecting two stories (I should have read the tags). Overall it was pretty interesting but the pacing of the first story was off and with how short the second one was I don't think I really got to appreciate it as much as I could have. Both were really cool concepts but the execution wasn't that good. I enjoyed the second story though, it was sweet and interesting.
Himono, Tokodoki, Shanairen'ai
I don't normally read age gap manga (in general) since it's not my cup of tea but kudos to this author because I really enjoyed reading this. I adored the characters dynamic because the author made their relationship seem so sweet and comfortable unlike with other manga where age gaps do affect their relationship and it makes reading them feel awkward. The story was adorable and the ART! It was so pleasing to look at and I found no faults in there what-so-ever, the character designs, proportions, facial expressions, and especially the cover pages for each chapter were so well done. Overall I really enjoyed reading this and highly recommend to any BL reader.
Mahoroba No Hibi
Wow. Just wow. This one hit hard. I thought this was going to be sweet and fluffy, this is why I should start reading the tags and full synopsis before I start a manga. This was well written and had a nice plot, I absolutely adored every story. I really like how despite there being multiple stories they were all connected within the same universe, each story was unique and heartbreaking all in their own way. I also like the art style as well, you can tell it's a rather old manga based on the art style but I really liked it. It was simple and the character designs were well done. Overall this was a really great read, and I'm a HUGE sucker for angst so this was definitely a pleasant surprise. Still hurts tho :)
