Ok ... first of all WHAT THE ABSOLUTE FUCK. I thought this was going to be wholesome, and I was super excited bc they seemed perfect for each other, it was consensual, their neighbor (Konno) was super understanding and even helped them when they were arguing. But THEN the whole manga did a 180 and threw me for a whole fucking loop. Tbh though this was a really good read, I enjoyed the plot twists, and kinda wished there was even a bit more. The character designs are pretty basic, but still very nice, and the sex scenes were hot, so all in all this wasn't that bad. Not the most fucked up thing I've ever read!!!

Jikyuu Jisoku de Nani ga Warui

This generally ended up being a really sweet manga and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. Their relationship dynamic was so entertaining and the art was very well done.

Hate Mate

Complete | RECK | 2016 released

I am speechless ... I do not think I have EVER enjoyed reading a manhwa as much as I have enjoyed reading this one. I ended up finishing this in a few hours. When I read the synopsis, I assumed this would be a classic reconciliation between old friends that leads to that one straight character "turning gay", and them ending up with each other. In reality, this ended up being completely different and I have no complaints about this what so ever. The plot was very interesting and the story had a very good flow. What made me love this manhwa so much was how realistic the relationships were portrayed and how relatable the characters were. Subin's dynamic between his friends was relatable and their childish banter was very comical. The push and pull between Subin's and Hyunwoo's need for affection and their fear of intimacy were demonstrated very well. Subin's and Jun's relationship is also a good example of real-life issues many couples (and people) face within the 21st century. A lot of readers were pressed about the ending but I think the ending was very befitting and helped contribute to how raw and amazing this story was. The art style overall is very simplistic but the author makes up for this by being able to create a powerful emotional sensation to help drive the story. I loved how the author drew many of the character's facial expressions, unlike in western comics, they were less concerned with "beauty", and we got to see a more comical and relatable side to the characters. Overall this was an amazing read and will most likely be one of my favorite manhwas ever. I highly recommend this to anyone who is up for a good romance that is realistically depicted and not altered to fit into classic heavily fantastical romance stories.

Tasogare Outfocus

Complete | Janome | 2019 released

This was BEAUTIFUL. I adored everything about it. The characters were well designed and the sweetest little babies I have ever seen. The whole plot was very interesting and had a very nice flow. And the ART!!! Immaculate, I love the art style the author has, they go between realism and that slightly cartoonish feel you get with most manga, it was beautiful. I loved their perspectives and angles, the art style really gave more depth to an already amazing story. Overall this was an amazing read and I thouroghly enjoyed every minute of it. I highly recommend to anyone, this generally was such a beautiful story.

Hello Green Days

This was SUPER wholesome, and had really pretty art!!!

My Home Your Oneroom

Complete | Tsukizuki Yoshi | 2017 released

This was a pretty good read, for the most part, we had good characters, an interesting plot, and nice art. The pacing kinda threw me off just because everything is so straightforward, like how they get into a relationship, and how the story felt like it progressed so fast. This felt like an incredibly short read, which may sound stupid bc DUH of course it's short bc it only has 5 chapters but still which how everything progressed I SPED thru the story. Anyway, I liked the characters especially that one particular side character (seriously he deserves more credit he's an awesome friend), and I liked the art style, the character design is well done and so pleasing to look at. Overall this wasn't a bad story but ngl I actually really liked the one-shot at the end ( maybe even more than the main :/ ).

Neko x Neko

Complete | Mio Tatsumoto | 2000 released

This was a nice short read, the storyline itself is pretty standard but the verse-couple was a nice surprise. The plot was very sweet and there isn't too much heavy drama, so this was a very nice light-hearted read. I also liked the art style, the character design was nice.

Ao no Tsubomi

Complete | natsume tsuno | 2000 released

I've read this author's other stories and for the most part, I do really like their works, however, I think that this one was definitely not their most memorable. We had a great plot and the author set it up well but there were some weak areas in my opinion. The excuses for not speaking up, the odd relationship they both had because one could not let go that dragged on for so long yet they didn't even have sex until just recently, some of these factors made the plot weak. I also feel that if the author is to use the ex-girlfriend as the factor to help push the main characters into a relationship, then she should be more relevant. The drama felt weaker than how the author's previous stories were. Still, I did enjoy the ending and I will forever love this author's art style but this is definitely not one of my favorites out of all their works.
