Hatsukoi no Tonari
This was a super wholesome and sweet read, there was a nice plot and I really liked the pacing of the relationship between the main characters. It didn't feel too rushed or too slow, and I really liked how it didn't purely revolve around some type of sexual relationship like most BL would do (which isn't a bad thing but this was a nice breath of fresh air). Despite it, having teacher/student relationship qualities certain aspects of the story felt so real and natural, I really liked how the author portrayed that. I'm also a huge sucker for Domestic au's so this gave me serotonin. Also, I absolutely love the art style, the character design is really well done, and their facial expressions hurt me in all the best ways. Overall this was a nice read and I would recommend this to any BL reader who wants some nice fluff with not too much drama.
Otoko ni dake Saku Mesu no Hana
Bahahahaha this was wild but it's to be expected from this author, I really like their art tho ajsdvandv.
Unknown (taratsumi John)
I really need to start looking at the tags before starting a new manga, I am not a big fan of one-shots especially multiple story one-shots. I find it a bit confusing and it skips over crucial parts of each story that I want to know more about but can't because its a one-shot :( HOWEVER, I did enjoy reading this one, I was not expecting it to be as dark as it was but those themes were not unwelcomed. There were stories that I liked more than others though, Chapter 6 was definitely my favorite, I really loved the plot, the characters, and the overall message within the story. There is also, just something about chapters 2 and 5 that made me really like those stories. I liked the way those were set up (plot-wise) and how they were told because this author really has a way with words. Also, the ART STYLE is so cool and very well done, there is just something about it that really helped give the story the "dark themes" they had. Overall this wasn't a bad read, I might even go read some of this author's other works.
Sensei ni nerawareteimasu
One-shot from previous author's story "Muka Tsuku Douryou to Sefure ni Narimashita"
Baby Face Monster ÒÄ -Moto-Banchou no Ore daga Kuso-Gaki ni Ketsu wo Nerawerete iru-
This was a pretty cute read, it had a funny plot, cool characters, and really nice art, however, I feel as if the ending was a bit abrupt. The overall plot wasn't bad, but there were definitely flaws with the characters and ending that made me feel that everything was incomplete. Maybe it would have been better if the author inserted a time skip or maybe if the author didn't end the story with a sex scene right after their dating wasn't even officially confirmed. Overall I did enjoy this but it also wasn't exactly my cup of tea, but the art was immaculate, the character designs were really well done.
Rakka Ryuusui no Hoshi
I had no idea this was by the same author who also wrote Golden Sparkle but this was so adorable despite the beginning being a little angsty and "dark". This wasn't a bad read, I enjoyed the plot it was interesting and pretty entertaining for the most part. I think the only thing that bothered me was the progression, while the "romance" itself may not have been rushed (going by BL standards), but I felt like the conflict was solved too quickly. The second mc just stopped doing what he wasn't supposed to do almost immediately and I felt that that aspect was rushed, the initial conflict was solved too quickly (but that's just me being picky). Overall this was a good read and I really liked the dynamic between the main characters, their interactions were so sweet, and also I HAVE to mention the art because this author is serving like ALWAYS with their amazing character designs and great facial expressions.
Sayonara Alpha Extra Edition
I haven't read the original manga in forever so I forgot about a lot of things but this wasn't bad for a sequel, I'm grateful that the author took the time to make it. HOWEVER, there are some ... very questionable things that happen both I the original and this that is just not my cup of tea. Overall this was ok and I like the art but this definitely isn't by favorite omegaverse manga.
On Doorstep
I've been meaning to read this for a while now and I am SO GLAD that I finally did because I enjoyed this so much and this is definitely one of my favorite Ctk works. Overall the plot was super interesting and I really loved the characters, the author did really well with how they wrote the characters bc I became attached to them quick. I was not expecting Jimmy to cry and that absolutely broke me when he did. Also, peep the character development for both the main characters, because the author did a really good job with addressing their problems and I am super happy with the outcome. I also will NEVER stop talking about Ctk's art style bc HOLY they have one of the most pretty art styles I have ever seen and it is unique too so you could totally pinpoint their art style out of a lineup. Their character designs are IMMACULATE, and although I know the author probably won't release any other content with these characters, a girl can always dream. Overall this was definitely one of my favorites reads and this is a definite must-read for any BL reader.
