Life of a Magic Academy Mage
I'm very much entertained. I saw someone say that the art quality drops but I didn't really feel that with the current art? It's a pretty casual read and I occasionally feel called out by some of Leehan's thoughts as a university student as well lol
The First Love of the Sushi Restaurant Owner is a Mermaid
At first glance you'd think Hae-beom is a red flag but he took us by surprise and delivered a whole forest because there's nothing but green everywhere I look. Usually the bar is so low for semes but this one restored my faith in tops with all the delicious consent thrown around. I never knew mermaid smut was something I needed in my life, but this was so hot and sexy it had me rolling, giggling, and kicking my feet in the air. Of course we can't forget about our adorable Sang-ah; he deserves to be loved so much, it's so nice that he found someone like Hae-beom after getting taken advantaged of so much. Their relationship is just too wholesome (goals tbh) and I'm patiently waiting for the official translations so we can hopefully read the rest of the special chapters soon.
The Main Villain Is Stuck to Me Like Chewing Gum
The plot looks interesting, I'm sad it's just a promo ;-; Hopefully this gets a manhwa in the future.
Special Guidance
Good plot, nice art, I loved the way the couple bonded over the course of the story. I'm not too familiar with guideverse stories so this one was a breath of fresh air for me. The only thing that made my blood boil for this one was the multiple attempts on YoonOh's life because he's a "liability" to Hyuntae especially after the imprinting. The dude who was acting as the main antagonist from City Guard didn't really have much of an impact either. He did so much corrupted sht but he went down the "if I go down, you're going down with me" route which was so anticlimactic. On the bright side, there where quite a lot of side characters who were lovable in this series. The side couple's development was pretty interesting, I hope they go exclusive soon. I love how whipped Hyuntae is for YoonOh, consent and communication was also seen throughout this story so that makes it even better.
The Twin Siblings’ New Life
I didn't read the epilogue for reasons you probably already know. They did Arhen so dirty. The title says the "twins" new life but somehow it ended up as only Arienne's new life. I'm not totally opposed to romance per se in stories like this, I just wish it wasn't the guardian that ended up being her love interest. Because in the first place Arhen was the one who had more imperial blood than his sister, but he's being shoved aside by the guardian (he was so excited about meeting this guy btw, like Arienne couldn't even feel her connection with this guy properly when they first met) since now his sister and guardian are in love. Arhen even had to give them the space for their relationship to progress, what is up with that development? The favoritism isn't even subtle because it feels as if Arhen just doesn't exist in the story anymore. He deserves his happiness too, him and Arienne suffered together from both this life and their previous one. But in the end the author decided to give everything to Arienne, leaving Arhen with nothing in return for his sacrifices and battles he fought. Wish we could've just gone the route where the twins would travel to places together like they initially planned at the beginning of the story, it was that bond between them that drew me in to reading this in the first place.
BL in the Dungeon?!
A very straightforward story, there's not much substance to it provided that it is quite short. Gave me a few good laughs though, both the leads are funny and likeable.
Yuusha Party kara SEIJO wo Sukutta no ha MAOU-sama Deshita
It's short but has an interesting plot and good smut.
Revenge Wedding
This story was a rollercoaster ride from start to finish. I really liked it, though the pacing got wonky towards the end. Honestly, this couple has so much chemistry and I love how their personalities compliment each other. They were hilarious during the first half and had so much tension (not in a bad way, made me feel so single fr) during the latter half. The confession scene took a while but it was nice to see how it mirrors their first meeting as children. Regarding the ending though, I wish we saw the second marriage and post-marriage moments before it ended (or through side stories). The conclusion just felt super rushed and didn't let us readers bask in the moments of fluff after all the BS with the first prince. But I do get that we don't really know the circumstances of the author and artist that could've impacted their decision over the pacing of the latter half :') Overall, I still think this is a pretty good read with a nice happy ending.
