Life Senjou no Bokura
This is beautiful. Akira (seme) was a jerk for some time but in the end he and Yuuki got their happy ending. I cried when he died but at least they had a lot of time together before that happened. Yuuki ended up living a bit longer before dying due to age as well then they met each other again in heaven and I'm just T^T it's so good please my heart is so full rn Side note, that ending reminds me of what happened in The Tale of the Yellow Dragon which is another story I love hehe~
I will be waiting for you in 1999
The title was so misleading, I thought Shi yi would die and it was Ming qi who'd be waiting in 1999 or something, then it'd be a sad ending. But in truth, the whole story was what's sad and it was the ending that's happy QwQ Overall, I like this story. The cover where Ming qi is shielding their younger selves from the rain hits right on the feels too after reading the whole story. It's a story in which shows how it's always the person that decides for themselves how their lives will go. No matter how difficult the circumstance may be and some hiccups may occur along the way, however, as long as you believe then somehow you'll reach a conclusion that takes you to your own flower path. This thing made me cry a lot and I was so scared during the last few chapters when they couldn't find Shi yi anywhere ;-; But it compensated with an actual happy ending although it's also a bit open-ended. At least the case concerning Ming qi's father was moving, Bai ming is doing well away from that trash that calls himself his father, and Shi yi was found to be alive. The sense of relief that washed over me was incomparable after comprehending all these things.
My Suha
Amazing story, in my opinion the author did really well with the plot setup and the story-telling because this thing really played with my emotions. It started off really chill with a light and fluffy story and some steamy smut but then towards the end of S2 it started going to a dark turn It's interesting because I was very very uncomfortable with Jiwoon's obsessive tendencies with Suha but I couldn't hate him. Not after seeing what he went through in that house (the poor kid). In the end he never wanted to hurt Suha, on the contrary, he was actually quick to admit his faults (unlike some other characters I've seen which refuses to see their own mistakes). All he needed was some time to think and he managed to sort out his own thoughts in the correct manner and I love that, I guess that's why I just couldn't hate him even though he scared me from what he was doing. This kind of mindset also made me understand why Suha willingly forgave him. Lastly about the ending, it was beautiful to see them saying "I love you" to each other so genuinely after all was said and done. That revelation about Jiwoon's parents made me hate them honestly. I made peace with myself that maybe they left Jiwoon cuz they thought they won't be able to provide for him. But then, they ended up having more children and I'm just like- wtf?? They never thought of at least checking on him? That explanation wasn't enough either, they had so much opportunities to try reaching out to him when he was younger, then maybe he wouldn't have so much psychological scars T^T I actually liked that he didn't accept them again, I think they deserve it IDK I just think I'd be so hurt if I was in his situation seeing that the parents I coveted so much throughout suffering such hell growing up actually had other children that they probably showered so much love as they grew up. That sucks y'know that they didn't even check on him after 20 something years. Overall the story was great and now I'm waiting for side-stories ^^
My Bias Appeared?!
Teacher×Idol I live for this drama LMAO Idk why I wasn't frustrated with this considering how much of an asshole Siyeol was for the first half. Maybe I have a soft spot for Aejoon, so I could wait patiently to see Siyeol grovelling for him to be forgiven. It's a short read with a pretty straightforward storyline and its great hehe~ PS. I think it's finished?
Taming the Lady
The stalker behaviour of the FL at first did not sit well with me. But at some point I realized that she's just an immature child and her actions weren't even that bad. The plot was actually getting interesting but it got ruined by a rushed ending :') I hoped that they'd tackle the issue more with the internal force of the book trying to put everything back in place again and the characters needing to act accordingly to how they were initially written. Overall I think it's an okay-ish story, I really wished they did something more for the ending but it is what it is. I'm still glad I gave it a try because the romance was actually pretty wholesome ngl
Unromantic
I just wanna say that there is nothing 'Unromantic' about this manhwa. I love the works of this author and they certainly did not disappoint with this one as well. It's cool to see the alpha/omega hierarchy reversed (I'm such a sucker for puppy-like bois and the top is such a good boi I cry). In a sense I think that the story was well executed plus I loved the dynamics of both the leads. They're both whipped for e/o and omg they actually communicate?? Amazing. All in all, I believe this is a masterpiece and both leads deserved that happy ending (tho I wish they showed the second baby ;-;). The most greenflag story (probably) that you would see from this genre (at least for yaoi y'know), very refreshing as both gave their all to keep the relationship; 10/10 would read again. P.S. the smut is also *chefs kiss* vv hot
Ai wo Oshiete Naka Made Hogushite
Minami is an author who writes yaoi novels. One day after feeling the after-effects of sitting in front of a computer all day, he decided to look for a massage service online. What he failed to realize however was that the website he found were meant to provide other "services" to their customers. Long story short, a massage therapist named Daichi came, they did the deed, then Minami fell for him after Daichi confesses how much he looks up to Minami as an author. But, Minami had low self-esteem which lead to a couple of misunderstandings due to the lack of communication between both ends. There was also an obsessive side-character that added fuel to the fire since he wanted Daichi for himself. The ending was cute, they met again after a little time skip. Honestly a pretty chill read, although it's mostly smut lmao (the art is great though ngl) but still the leads were adorable. The other guy which was obsessed with Daichi seemed to have gotten a happy ending for himself too. Good for him. I mean, he met someone at the end which I hope would help him with his problems. A thing to note as well, it's so nice to see how healthy this couple is after clearing the misunderstanding. That last panel where Minami looks a lot more healthy and lively than when he was first introduced paired with Daichi's beautiful smile, marked the ending for this story pretty nicely imo. I can peacefully HC how they'll have many years in the future filled with love and joy.
