(Being gay in that era was illegal, they will use this matter against Woradet's dad) - ogWoradet which was broken both mentally and physically wants to take revenge of those people who hurts him so he tells his dad about this rebel group and they were all executed. He's lying to himself thinking Woradet just having some psychological problems because of the torture he's been through. (Kosol really love ogWoradet, even if he betrayed him or wasn't in his right mind anymore Kosol will continue to love him.) I've read the raws and bro- the PLOT TWIST IN EACH CHAPTER. The author is too good at building her characters. Seriously, TOO GOOD. There's a soundtrack matching the atmosphere in some chapters so I really recommend you go check it in their official site (webtoon). ngl I have goosebumps

I came here after watching the two seasons of the anime. Hope there's a new season soon too. The anime is not based on Manga but Light Novel Version. That's why the animation style is not same as Manga but accurate as LN illustration of Lord Shadow. The Eminence in Shadow got Anime adaptation because of the Light Novel and not Manga version. The reason why you see there are differences between Anime and Manga because it cover mostly from Light Novel. So far, the season is up to Volume 3. From Volume 4 and onwards, the Light Novel will differ from it's Web Novel version. In LN, Cid was adaptational heroism where he maintains his idiot hero persona while in WN, his actions during the Great Trading Company received many criticisms from Readers. Thus, it is unsure which Direction, Manga will take on. Latest Volume is 7 in Japan. I read up to Vol 6 (Jack Ripper Arc).
