Then they went on a business trip together and stayed in an apartment together, where they were spending more time together. "Helen" opened the window even though the sun instantly burned him severely because of his albinism so he could feel like he's with people. The burns were so severe he got a fever, and he's already mentally unstable, and his master said they'd have to return from the trip to their original meeting place in Macau China, so in the funk he panics his master is leaving him and tried to leave his master before being abandoned. When he got caught running away he tried to kill himself so he can't feel lonely anymore. In the end both master and "Helen" realize they are both fond of each other & mentally broken and dependent on each other.

It reminded me of that English rhyme, where one of the lines go: ”Saturday's child works hard for a living.” Except now…here, it’s about a twenty-something young man—with past trauma of being raped as a gay man by 2-3 of his high school classmates—and loosing all his familial and other support because of it. From the way this story is depicted, he is also HSP. Queue our ML: a thirty-something workaholic that seems to still wonder where in the world he fits in. He’s smart in a business sort of way, and really competent at work, but socially and emotionally he seems very stunted. So, what could have been a “Hey, I just met you today, and I know this is sudden, and you’re really my type…think we could date? Also, I’m…a Dom, but I think I could be kinda vanilla with you.”-sort of miscommunication turned into “Sleep with me. 13 times.” Oh yeah, without saying that he already accepted our MC into his team. The rest (as of ch 32) has turned into how hard our ML tries to sort of change the forced D/s-relationship into a real one. He—heck, THEY!—could have gotten it all SO MUCH BETTER if he at their first “meeting” would have just talked about what he as a Dom had wanted, because our MC has not understood one iota of it all…since the only time he’s ever had sex it was rape and really traumatic. He’s a virgin. Our MC thought he was consenting to 13 times of rape. He doesn’t understand the concept of aftercare, he doesn’t get safeword use, he…just doesn’t even get why he’s falling for his boss. They want so much more—think boyfriends in a D/s-relationship—but our MC trauma and our ML emotional constipation is working against them. And our sweet MC has now realized (as of ch 34) that he’s fallen. And he doesn’t know what to do to be able to keep himself close to his boss/crush/Dom. And our ML…he’s looking at our MC like he’s his blinding light (in the storage closet at the tf team’s client). In a panic and scared of being pushed aside ”like a stranger”, our MC gets an anxiety attack and confessess. And now our ML knows the MC has deep feelings for him, but he hasn’t yet said ”I like you too” back. Just told him ”I don’t want you leaving my house for several days.” 20.9.2024 ch 39 Oh no…without explaning ANYTHING about a D/s-relationship that’s not just a play relationship, the ML goes and basically shoves our MC into one.
