The only problem is that she happens to be Yurina, the girl he spent his elementary school days tormenting. While he hardly remembers her from those days, Yurina hates him with a passion. She holds him responsible for all the lasting emotional and psychological scars that were caused by the years he made her life a living hell. Takaya hopes they'll be able to move past their history and fall in love, but can Yurina ever feel anything for him but hatred and the desire for revenge?

25.2.2021 From another review: Basically Misato thought he was Akira's boyfriend until Akira pretty much told him he was just a replacement for the Satoshi and thanked him for his time. Then Misato dates Mei in revenge and tries to dump him but soon Misato then realizes that the nickname "Sato" Mei gave Misato is also the same nickname he gave to the male twin, Satoshi. This tells us two things. 1) Mei has known from the start that Misato was planning on using him and Mei allowed it, fully knowing he was being used for revenge. 2) By using the same nickname "Sato", it can be implied that Mei was also dating Misato as a substitute for Satoshi. This is explained further in the sequel, Ashita Kimi ni Ai wo Sasayaku. So when Misato finally realized that he was the one being decieved all along, not only by Akira AND Satoshi BUT MEI, it becomes devastating. He was the one who lost the most of all of them. He was playing a game he didn't even know he was playing. What's worse now is that Misato truly believes there will be no one who truly loves him. (But this isn't true from Mei's pov.)

25.2.2021 read ch 6-8 Mei fell in love with the female of the Sato twins. The male Sato also loves Mei, and tried to steal him away from his sister. She was devastated, and OD on pills. After her death, Mei couldn’t cope with even seeing the male Sato at all, so Sato often stood waiting by the university gates just to get a glimps of Mei. This made him get noticed by Akira, then in a relationship with Masato. Akira was way more attracted by Sato, who didn’t even at first want to speak to Akira but gradually realized that since Akira already was in a gay relationship he would maybe be okay with Sato. So, Akira dumped Misato, who was devastated, and got together with Sato. Mei saw this, and allowed Misato to ”get revenge” by becoming his boyfriends. Only, Misato fell HARD for Mei, and Mei fell for Misato, and maybe Sato will be all right with Akira. So maybe it all worked out, in the end after the manga ended, but all we see is their angst.
