13.1.2021 The last story, of the two salarymen, was the best story imo. Sincerely confessing and asking someone to be your lover by the elevator while you’re wearing morning stubble and a hotel bathrobe... could it be more desperate and genuine? The way his lover just breaks down there in front of him, that really conveyed the whole ”I thought I could never ever have you”-feeling of the scene. The main couple, about the designer who after many years finally is reuniged with his high school crush and muse... worked itself out nicely. It was good that the mangaka drew both charachters’ POV, becaue the way the seme was acting all shy and depressed from not being more confident was getting a bit weird. The enemies to lovers story REALLY would have been nice to have ended on a better note than ”they started dating 2 months later”

13.2.2021 A misogynistic host only working and living to pay off his parents debt, falls for his hairdresser after a night of gay sex. The mangaka really tries to show off the hard and tough life the people in the night life industry have: alcohol problems, relationship problems when your clients only want you for sex, and the loneliness.

14.2.2021 These stories all have bothersome elements in them, and all of them are connected to the theme of ”not being true to yourself” and ”needing someone else to get it right/out”. First story is about a gay roommate who falls for his straight roommate, but because that person’s PE and lots of other things their beginning is rough. The second story is about an art student that wished to be loved, but got a bit shewed by being sexually attracted towards a substitute body before falling for another art student. Another couple break off and get it on again and again, just because one of them is unsure of themselves. And last, two gay vanilla boys lie towards one another and in the end are able to reconcile because of outside interference.

18.2.2021 All the stories have the theme ”first gay relationship” for one of the partners. In the first (1 yen man) the straight detective falls for the gay emotionally supercold/romantically superakward (tsundere) stock broker and has to make him realize what being in a loving relationship can be. The second couple is about friends-to-lovers, and the straight salaryman just wants to shower his lover with care and sexual pleasure, because his partner keeps on doing it to him, but is hindered by the man in question. What’s odd about that story is that THERE’S NO HESITATION from the salaryman as to whether or not reciprocate the seme’s 10 years of unrequited love. He just accepts them right away. In the last one, the ex-boyfriend from the first story finally get together with his unrequited love from his late father’s yakuza organization. This couple does try to talk it out BEFORE they proceed to having a sexual relationship, so they’re ”better” than the other couples in the book. Reread 6.4.2022
