♡'s manga / #Cliché(18)

It's cliché but at the same time it's really entertaining because of how absurd it is. I feel like a teacher or a parent reading an elementary schooler's work, it's so typical but at the same time little things appear out of nowhere, it has this childish vibe that is so endearing. A cute thing, both the art, the story and the conversations

It's cute n all but I skimmed through it for the beautiful art only, a very very typical shoujo

It's your typical misogynistic shoujo, the dude likes the young looking girl because she has a pretty face, big boobs, cooks well and is obedient, the girl is a doormat and has negative self-esteem, believing she's ugly and useless and the guy only worsens this as he tells her to cover her face and that she's his property. Bleh. Now that I write it out it's actually pretty bad

Except for the prince there's not a single likeable character. Individually, if placed in another story, each character might have been passable, but when basically everyone gives me the ick then it just becomes a shitty story. The mc is constantly body shaming, there's something incestuous going on with the calculative cousin and the male lead is kinda disgusting for opening every conversation with something along the lines of "are you losing weight yet". I'm not gonna list every character but they're all pretty bad

Gorgeous art but even a GL cannot escape the clutches of the manhwa trope: overbearing CEO who use their power dynamic at any given chance and mc who is toyed with. I know this is the usual trope for BG and BL but I thought maybe GL would have been different so I'm kinda disappointed. As an employee I would be sick of work if the boss of my company made me do overtime for personal reasons so I can't even focus on the romance lol
