A First of Summers
Oh this is REALLY cute. Normally I don't tend to gravitate towards larger age gap yaoi, I find that a lot of the time they make it. Weird. But they don't do that here at all and the couple is incredibly endearing. They're so cute and I can't help but absolutely root for them :(( also all the bgs are completely hand drawn!! That's so cool, I feel like you rarely see that with manhwa lately, lots of 3d assets (which is totally understandable btw, saves a lot of time), but it's really refreshing and lovely to see a completely drawn work
My Master
DNF: Yeah this wasn't good in the slightest. The relationship between the couple feels really off and their chemistry feels forced in a way, not to mention how bland they both are, they're really boring. Speaking of boring, the story is so dry like holy shit?? It feels like it's just there to fill in the gaps between sex scenes, and I've at least read stuff where that's done well but it's so painfully dull in this one. Also this is NOT historical. Like at all. Royalty ≠ historical, they're literally living in the modern era with phones and cars. Don't bother with this honestly, the art is the best thing about it but it's not worth it for that alone
The Hunter's one night
Alright so here's the deal, I really wanted to like this and in some ways I did, but overall? I really didn't like it. I think the world building is very interesting and the art looks fantastic, but I take great issue with almost all the sex scenes being rape. Like holy shit dude what the fuck??? And the last one in the side stories, even if it's consensual, the uke literally tells the seme no and to stop and bro doesn't. Yeah, not a fan. Not to mention that they keep calling each other BROTHER??? Dude. Naur. All that said, may the late author of the original work rest in peace
The Pencil And Eraser Situation
Can't say much as of rn since we're only two chapters in but it seems interesting
Cover Up
Reread: Wow this was genuinely incredible. The art is stunning but aside from that the writing and story were so well done... The characters were so well written and almost felt real, and the way their relationships were portrayed was handled so well. Typically I have issues with noncon in yaoi, but in this case I think it was handled extremely well and not put in as something to sexualize in the slightest. I also see people complaining about the ending, but personally I think the ambiguous and open ended ending fits the themes of this manhwa more than a concrete conclusion on how their relationship goes Reread count: 1
Sasaki to Miyano
Reread: I could talk about this for literally so long it's my favorite yaoi ever just. GOD I LOVE IT SO MUCH!! The characters are all so fun and cute, I love sasamiya's relationship they're so cute and sweet and the constant awareness of boundaries and asking for consent is so lovely and nice. And the art is so gorgeous!! This is just incredibly cute and sweet and I cannot give it enough praise ever, cannot recommend it enough Reread count: 5+ I've reread this a lot not to mention specific volumes or chapters
Falling Into the Sea
This is interesting for sure! I'm such a sucker for fake/pretend relationships, and although this is a rather unique case, it still appeals to me in that way. The art is nice, I think the dynamic is interesting, and I find the characters to be enjoyable. Although I do feel bad for the mc's friend, it always sucks to see someone who was pinning after one of the characters in the main couple watch them fall in love (unless they end up being a piece of shit about it). Looking forward to updates!
Love Gym
This was really good, the second half especially was so cute and I really enjoyed the development of their relationship. I don't have much to say honestly but it's worth the read!
Neon Sign Amber
Reread: This was really good! The art was lovely, I enjoyed the development of the characters' relationship a lot, and the way they portrayed the seme's experience with his sexuality was really interesting. Plus the dynamic of "guy who's expressions don't show on his face" x "guy who can read his expressions anyways" is so cute... Ough Reread count: 1
