Roses and Champagne

Ongoing | Zig , fat | 2019 released

5 chapters in and despite the bad translations...it's really the plot I think that's a mess. The MC behaves seemingly randomly at times, some stuff is skipped (minor scenes too but I'm talking entire happenings here, mind you) and all in all it feels more like a rough draft of a story or a recollection of a novel and that's really not enjyoable to read. At this point I'm just gonna keep checking in for the fucking that'll eventually happen, the story itself has lost all interest for me due to the bad writing. The core story IS very interesting but, not with THIS execution. Sadly. It's rare to see mafia settings nowadays, so I was happy at first but that's gone to the void now unfortunately.

Engraved On You

Complete | Kira | 2019 released

This makes as much sense as sprinkling gold dust over horseshit and saying bone apple tea. WTF did i waste my time for?? And WTF is the artist wasting their talent on this for?? So many questions, such an abyssmal chance to recieve any answers. Spare yourself the read. There's literally nothing here. No story, no character, half a fucking maybe but that's about it. Skip through it for the pretty art, but don't bother looking for anything else. Seriously.

I Lost the Leash of the Yandere Male Lead

Ongoing | 플랑비,Haji, 하지 | 2019 released

It's like someone made a comic based on a re-telling of a re-telling of a rough plot description...it's hardly a cohesive story and hence really isn't fun or interesting when reading. The plot might be interesting, but the execution butchered it to the point of me really growing disinterested by the first few chapters. The male characters are nice to look at but that's about the only positive thing I can say. Oh, and the male lead doesn't seem like a yandere. i don't think the author knows what that character type even is to be honest...

Geinoukai Ura OL - Gyoumu Meirei Karada Settai

Complete | Haruko minami,Rairei munakata | 2019 released

Wow, just wow. This felt like some fucked up, far-from-reality fetish fuckfest that a 14 year old tumblr user wrote. The little story that is there is butchered and hardly made into a cohesive story, it's choppy and jump-cuttish as all hell and even makes you think that entire chapters are missing. Some things are mentioned but not explained, others are just yeeted into your face and you have to accept them then and there, because around the next corner is another pile of shit waiting to be flung into your face. This is really just a fetish, self-insert I'm sure. Because even IF you are into these kinda forceful relationship dynamics...you cannot enjoy them because the author made zero effort to make ANY character likable or understandable in any way. They hardly have a personality and what they do have is trash and remains so throughout. This story, if you wanna call it that, throws happenings at you without stringing them together properly, all so (seemingly to me anyway) that the next cringey fuck scene can start. This is trash. And the type i seldom see on here with this level of average, early 2000-type of artworks. It's not worth reading. Spare yourself the waste of time. Not even as wanking material, mind you. There is nothing of worth to be found here from start to finish.

The Villainess Needs A Tyrant

Ongoing | Eun sae ro,은새로,Kim peul,킴플 | 2019 released

The story is great at first but more and more it feels like the author made shit up as they went and TRIED to make things make sense...but failed rather miserably. It's not due to bad translation either, that only gets horrid towards the later parts. So I don't think this is a case of mistranslation and hence meaning being lost. I mean, towards the end we have a character pop up, do a big important thing that is ENTIRELY ignored and treated like someone did something insignificant, and then BOOM sometime later they say he off'd himself?? This is just pure lacklusterness at this point. Nevermind making drama when there is no need to, but there are multiple times where it feels like the author couldn't give a shit to write a coherrent story with scenes that are fleshed out AND do character's justice by portraying them as the important figure in the story they previously were. Multiple times, mind you. This story started off super interesting and only became a headache and sheer disappointment. I'd suggest not reading it because all the time invested will get you nowhere satisfying (or good, really). It's like the author read multiple stories, saw dramatic happenings and wanted to squeeze them all in, hell be damned if it fits or not. It's just all over the place and ruins what the story could have been: A reincarnation story of multiple people, with a tragic side character loosing his life for doing the right thing, a rejected male lead passing and an unlikely couple finding one another. Instead we get the usual, halfassed skipping over important events, killing of people without a need or without making it the big deal it should be and then the next page just everybody being smiles and happy go lucky while having a wedding. For the love of anything ever holy: if you cannot be bothered to even write a script and have things make sense as well as executing it well in comic form...just DON'T do it. It's just disappointing and infuriating in many cases. I somehow hope someone will copy this story and re-do it in a better way, but this one is just NOT worth bothering with. Sorry.

My Angelic Husband is actually a Devil in Disguise

Ongoing | Haemyang,Hiella,Woongin thinkbig | 2022 released

Half-assed plot that rushes through important parts as early as chapter 4 to 6 just to get 'tO tHe ImPoRtAnT pArT'. Dropped because the writer didn't bother putting effort into decent writing. Instead of focusing on telling the story and making emotions and thoughts come across, they skipped literally EVERYTHING. Emotions, years of happenings that are only mentioned when we're suddenly supposed to have them matter. This is just shitty writing. It was interesting given the setup, but they totally butchered it.

The Tragedy of a Villainess

Ongoing | Honey Flow , 꿀이흐르는,Rosen , 로즈엔 | 2000 released

This reads like an 'epic' plotline a 12 year old wrote and thought it's the most amazing and impressive story ever to be written. But if you read it after gaining some knowledge about what good writing and storytelling is....it's nothing short of cringey and amateur-ish. It very much reminds me of one of my first stories I still have saved on a USB stick. That 'sterne ceremony' with exploding powers if the groom isn't there is somehow even more dumb than what I wrote back then tho. It just WAY too over the top and doesn't work well if you don't bother giving it a strong reason (which there is literall zero of). The plot is VERY amateur-ish in writing and storytelling. But it's probably a good read for newcomers. Those with more experience and a taste for great writing and story building should probably look elsewhere tho, there is nothing of interest to see here tbh.
