Kono Koi wa Kitto, Amasugiru

It was fine until he got caught from slipping at random and then ran away, had a hard on and jacked off while fingering himself. That was just weird and random.

How to Snag an Alpha

Complete | kimnyeong | 2019 released

The art AND writing feels lackluster, rushed, random and honestly like a young teen wrote it. The romance is rushed and random, weird really. And the art is mid and very inconsistent. The base story is interesting, especially since the ML isn't your typical rapey jackass Alpha (yet), but I honestly cannot feel immersed in this. I keep loosing interest AS I read. Mainly because the MC has such an utterly obnoxious literal toddler type behavior, ALL THE TIME. XD Probably a real good read for younger people, but not for mature readers with sense of quality, pacing and whatnot. ________________ This story really is an odd mix of sweet romance and obnoxious toddler-adult MC cringe. Which is why it's so hard to commit to reading OR dropping. Because one aspect is really making me want to see the romance, but the other (the literal toddler-type MC personality) really makes me just fed up because he is extremely unappealing to me. Having this odd mix is a first and it's honestly impressive to see. That might just be a talent in and of itself; mangaing to have people be torn inbetween decisions. Kudos to the writer for that. XD But the writing is decent and the comedic moments are great. Which is why I think this could make for a great adio drama or even an anime! The writing is honestly very cringey at times tho. Like that absolute wtf moment which I hope was a mistranslation or made up one at the early chapters: If you can cum it's love. And that wasn't even said as a joke in the moment. WTF? That threw me off into another zipcode. (⊙ ▽⊙ ) I honestly don't know what to say about this as it's such an inbetween thing for me. It's neither fully likable nor dislikable. Which is a first honestly. But I think if people, for some reason, like the MC acting like a literal child 24/7 and want to see their romance and drama unfold, this is likely an absolute amazing read. I for one really do not like the MCs personality tho, so I cannot fully enjoy it.

Review: Self-insert fap material, but shitty as a romance story.

The Melancholic Conman

Ongoing | Chaepali , Huhgun , Nanna | 2023 released

This is basically a mutilated version of a detailed novel plot, that's incredibly obvious. But as soon as they throw the random supernatural/fantasy stuff at you, it just becomes more weird, more lackluster and badly planned. It's just a mess. They cut so much info out that was important that it's honestly not pleasant to read. Which is the one thing people shouldn't do if they want to adapt a novel or such into a comic. You have to have a sense of what is needed to give as info and what can be left out. But in this comic someone very clearly didn't know that having a rough script of interesting moments does NOT make for a cohesive and immersive story. And that's a shame. The base story is interesting before it turnes to crap, same with the characters goign from likable to dislikable. I hope this will get a re-do or someone makes a copycat plot that is actually good, but this comic itself is just random, not cohesive and is no fun to read. Mainly because you are basically reading someone's randomly remembered plot retelling, turned into a comic. There is just no flow and no info given, they just hurl things at you and you're left to just deal with that. Not a good read at all. Disappointing on many fronts tbh. And a waste of a really interesting story I would have loved to read in full detail. :(

After-Shoot Snack

A nice and simple story, no unneeded drama that elongates the story just for the purpose of making it longer, no hate-able characters. Just the good old type of manga that's a nice read. <3 I do think tho that some questions should have been answered since they were hinted at being mysterious or having reason behind them. Such as: Where ML ran off to or why he does that, why he refused the chocolate, if he actually had a female-related trauma because his strong reaction very much suggested that, etc.. I also think this story would have benefitted more from working on actually developing the romance and emotions instead of just going for 'romance because they fuck alot'. I have never liked that sorta stuff, because it makes the romance seem shallow, bland or badly thought out. Often it feels random, which somewhat was the case here too. It just happened from one moment to another, for BOTH of them, just at seperate times. No hint at any big change of feelings for specific reasons we were clearly shown. Pretty sure the story would have benefitted from being romance focused instead of smut focused. But it is what it is. Still decent enough tho. I really like the setting of actor co-workers, I am kinda starved for those stories (any recommendations are appreciated btw). So I'm quite happy this story actually used that setup thoroughly instead of just an entrance point. It could have gone even harder into that direction tho, that would have been fun to see. :) One way or another; a good read without any major grand happenings that elongate the plot. Definetly good when you are looking to spend some time on a casual story for some time in the afternoon, when you want to immerse yourself into another setting for a short time.

Omega Syndrome

Ongoing | KOBACO Aki,Kobaco Aki | 2017 released

Mild spoilers, skip to last bracket of text to avoid them and get the gist of issues. The base story is really good, it's much more interesting and pleasant than 90% of the shitty Omegaverse plots we see out there, but at chapter 3 to 4 already things just got WAY too rushed. Them just getting it on and the villain showing up, making that decision and getting together because suddenly love(?) is a thing, was just way to random, rushed and not well thought out. I mean, he literally went from 'ew, homos are gross!' to 'i wanna be with you no matter what!' within half a chapter basically. It felt like a rough script rather than that being transformed into a story with a flow. Which really ruined it for me. It could have been amazing if it had been given time to develope naturally and at a good pace. :( I get throwing in the angst of the incest aspect, but that's something I only find non-disgusting BEFORE they fuck and potentially have an inbred baby on the way. So that wasn't exactly a plus point for the story either. XD The entire human trafficking plot is really interesting and definitely worth spending time on when writing. But even that aspect felt a bit rushed at times, or just jumbled. Not sure tho, as this could be due to how the chapters were uploaded. Some seem to have the pages not quite in correct order. Don't get me wrong, the writing at it's core and many dialogue/monologue moments are great, but it just didn't get enough time to let the story itself unfold naturally and as smoothly as it could have been. I would still recommend it, but with there being issues you need to prepare for. Pacing/it being rushed too much, mainly. The story is interesting and nice, so it depends on how your personal standard for flow and writing is. Some may find it bothersome, others not so much. I like it for what it is at it's core, tho it could have been much better. Fingers crossed we'll see more of these non-rape/smut infested Omegaverse stories and actually see comics with an actual PLOT. This one is definetly a good example of how to do it, if we only view the overall story aspect itself.
