This would have been good if it wasn't yet another one of those webtoons that rushes the plot along to get to the part that the artist deemed 'most important'. Can people stop butchering plots like this please? I doubt it's the same for the novel, if there is one, and it's quite disrespectful to the story in it's true form...

The idea was nice but...the execution falls short on all ends. It comes across as VERY messy and somewhat halfassed here and there. It's too jump cut-y one time and the other it just drags on too long with something. It's another one of those stories that feel like a comic based off of a re-telling by someone who read a story some time ago or glanced over a script. And I'm honestly starting to get tired of seeing this be done. It's so damn easy to avoid...please, just DON'T make a comic if you can't manage cohesive or fluent story telling. It just makes it a chore to read unless you maybe don't know what good or bad writing is (which I know this website is full of, but that's no excuse). Hard pass due to the obnoxious flow (if you wanna call it that) and just messy execution. Also, very predictable and the plot is minimal as is so we can already tell there'll be lots of arcs with needles drama just so the story can stretch on and on...

Okay, I know what the base plot is supposed to be like but... this dialogue feels like it's written by a child. WTF. That is NOT how adults would argue in that kinda situation, please stop!

It's My Baby!

Complete | Sailor | 2019 released

This is a good example of one of those webtoons based on the concept of drama for drama's sake just so the story can be longer. And why the hell do all these webtoons skip from the moment the person gets pregnant up to the point where the kid is several years old!? WTF?? You basically cut of a very crucial, character building and empathy building part just to get on with the story. It's annoying and makes things boring tbh. And more often than not: it makes your work predictable as can be if you use that 'mEcHaNiC' while writing. This is a halfassed story tbh. It's a plot we've seen multiple times, does nothing new and the few things that are of substance are boring and lackluster. It's a page-flicker at best but not even that is enjoyable. Not recommended, at all. Better look for another story that uses this exact plot and I'm sure you can indeed find a good one that's somewhat enjoyable to read.

The Beast Must Die

Complete | Lee hyeon sook | 2019 released

Shitty in every possible way. The plot is horseshit, the characters are either disgusting or dumb as fuck and even the art seems lackluster and halfassed when it comes to what they might want you to call 'colouring'. Spare yourself the wasted time and look for something else. Except of course if you're one of those sick fucks that gets off by actual rape and dumb as shit characters that magically fall in love with their rapist. Then go ahead and read this. I would burn this if I had bought this as a comic. It's pure garbage.

Gold Gray

Complete | LEE Geu-rin | 2018 released

Great...ANOTHER one of these shitty Omegaverse that drive the narrative of 'omegas only exist to be fucked by alphas and give birth to more alphas'. And this one even has it as the MAIN point of the plot. FFS, I really wish this genre would just die at this point. Nobody needs these rape-glorification stories and I'm honestly sick seeing so many people ride this rape train. Waste of time, story telling is absurdly jump-cutty and overall bad. Art isn't much either and cannot save it in any way. Not worth it, moving on.

When You're Targeted by the Bully

Ongoing | Day7,망가,언정이,체댜 | 2019 released

Boring, as all hell. Both the formatting/layout of the pages and the storytelling make this SO unbelievably slow paced. Many things feel rushed too tho, others obnoxiously shoe-horned. It's just a mess. It's generally a story that's terribly predictable but tries to throw bits and pieces in to make it 'hip, quirky and unique!', like a teenager on Tumblr that copies others and hence...isn't special in the slightest but just a weirdo. You and I have seen this plot a million times, but most of the time it has been executed better. it's like the author cherry picked popular plot themes and threw them all together, trying desperately to make it work as a somewhat coherrent story but...it's not really working. It's tedious and had me predict all happenings' outcomes as soon as they started. Which is just plain bad writing. For kids this might be a really good read, someone who doesn't know what all these cliche plot points will ultimately lead to and for someone that doesn't know what good writing is...but for anyone else? Spare yourself the pain. Not recommended, moving on.

This is another one of those stories in which you can tell the author has no idea what life is like. If you don't know how people AROUND amnesia patients would naturally act...don't write an amnesia plot. Please. It's so frustrating. Not only is the main character dumb but all others are dumb as well and noone behaves naturally. Instead of TALKING they all go "lol, figure this shit out yourself, bye!" and then get prissy when she cannot react/act in the way she previously would/should have. It's like reading a story written by a 12 year old that imagines what the rough concept of amnesia and time skips would be like in their ultimate sob-story self-insert tale. Obnoxious to read and even more obnoxious to imagine yourself as any character whithin this story. Spare yourself the tedious read. The concept was good but the execution is unbearable.

No more Innocence

Ongoing | 팀307 | 2019 released

The baseplot is very interesting but the execution is...lackluster at best. It wasn't so bad at first, things felt a bit amateur-ish but were still good but once the 'evil schemes' part began...things fell entirely apart. There is a time and place for having lighthearted, chibi moments in serious scenes but...this work just uses it ALL the time. Which makes everything feel like it's being taken barely serious, yes even the RAPE, and all in all it makes the characters just unpleasant. Not in a 'he's a villain so he's unpleasant' way, but in a 'he's supposed to be the villain so why does the art portray this moment like it's some cutesy chibi, fun time?? wtf?'. That just ruins everything. I don't know if this is an amateurs work, but this could really REALLY do with a rework sometime. Less focused on funny faces and more on seriousness. Otherwise it's really not a good read, unpleasant overall and kinda leaves a bad taste in your mouth if you're mature enough to put yourself into the story and understand how flatout inapproriate the comedy-based depictions are in many parts of the story. I would advise to skip this, or at least ONLY read up to the part where they go on their first date as per the seme's request. After that, stop reading to spare yourself the bad writing.

Lion and Venus

Ongoing | Yura | 2019 released

It's interesting and a nice read but...I really epected something more tbh. It's simply a bit underwhelming and ends up reading more like someone had to come up with a quick ending instead of thinking things through to the end as intricately and interestingly as the beginning was. The writing is very jump-cutish at times and I KNOW what the author tried going for but it didn't end up working in these cases. The romance-writing aspect of this really isn't great from the middle to the end, very amateur-ish or lackluster at least, and what little smut there is is also not worth mentioning. The art is good, the Omega isn't your average brain-dead cocksleeve when he goes into heat, the alpha isn't an arrogant jackass but even so, it's nothing I'll remember for longer than a day or two and I honestly wouldn't bother recommending this. It's just too boring despite it having a potential-filled starting point. 3 to 4 out of 10. A time-waster at best but nothing more.
