Thought this was cute at first but then it began to romanticize rape. Everyone sayin “its just yaoi logic” is just turning a blind eye to the problem and adding fuel to the fire. Normalizing it in a comic makes it that much easier to ignore or excuse it in real life. Sorry (but not really) for the rant, just so sick of all the “that was so hot” comments. No it’s not, it’s disgusting!

Fucked up, hated it; rape, manipulation, and lies.
The Prefect’s Private Garden
Ch. 7 It seems to be glossed over in this story so as a warning this manga does involve rape, emotional and mental abuse, and holding the mc (uke) captive. ***Kinda Spoilers*** It’s about a boy who doesn’t really understand morals or emotions so the mc is trying to teach him but that doesn’t excuse his behavior and I personally am unsure how I feel about this. When stories and especially BL tend to use rape a a trope I hate it and the only time I can read it (that doesn’t mean I’m okay with it in any way, but it’s not just a way to get two characters together) is when it’s extremely clear that it’s not ok and it’s meant to be twisted, such as Killing Stalking, where it’s not romanticized. This story is taking a strange approach to the subject and I will need to see how the rest plays out and if the story ignores that fact in the end. Honestly I don’t think I will really be happy if the mc ends up with his rapist and kidnapper even if he finally learns about morals and how to treat people, the best option I can see would be for the mc to help him learn and grow into a better person and the go there separate ways. Which I doubt will happen. ***End Spoilers*** Alright, that’s all for my rant and thought process. If your uncomfortable with rape in any sense I wouldn’t recommend this. I tend to look for rape in the tags to try a avoid those stories but I didn’t see that here so I wanted people to be aware.
