I reread this a year and half later and I still find it terrible. Actually, I dislike it more now. This is shounen ai and not restricted to adult readers. Is it really okay to impress upon young readers that it is okay to laugh at the pain and hardships of men in the gay community? I have lost more than my share of gay friends to suicide because they were forced to "act straight", hide themselves, deny their feelings and lose loved ones, only to be bullied and ostracized when the truth was discovered. I don't find any of that funny at all, personally. I just don't think this manga sets a good example of how gay men should be viewed. The characters and manga may be fictional, but they represent actual circumstances that gay men face. Should we really encourage the mockery of those circumstances?

Deki no Ii Kiss Warui Kiss

Complete | KANO Shiuko | 1997 released

Second reading, can't get past the second chapter. The father is an asshole who deserves no pity or understanding from me as a reader. He's a vile homophobic and worse, he is a lousy parent. When I first read this, I was new to yaoi. I've specifically chosen not to reread it for years. Now, I remember why I made that choice.
