Ii Kankei de Komatteru
Dear God! This mangaka is such an incredible storyteller! There's not a frame or word wasted. I'm stunned that this mangaka doesn't have a ton more manga translated here. Seeing as these are about 17 years old and there's not anything recent, I'm concerned that they are not drawing anymore. Which, I have to say, would be such a damned shame. The stories are poignant and written so beautifully, the art is truly stunning and realistic, and the characters are so down to earth it's not hard to imagine bumping into one of them on the street. If this mangaka is no longer producing works I'll be heartbroken. Keeping this kind of talent locked away from the world is just sinful if it's not criminal.
G-senjou No Neko
The story has potential and the portrayal of DID is fairly accurate, but the pace is slow and the writing meandering. I got to chapter 5 of volume 2 and quit. It is rare that I drop a manga. This was just so dull and slow, it felt like there was no resolution worth slogging through this story to find out. I actually chose cleaning my house over reading this. That is saying a lot.
