Iiko no Furi wa mou Yameru
They're both giving as good as they get, so the relationship's kinda strangely balanced, despite the circumstances. Not including blackmail tag because uke did not blackmail seme for sex, only to hangout Edit: I love how the seme went after him even after the uke prematurely ended things and ignored him. I'm really into the seme
Jikyuu Jisoku de Nani ga Warui
Nozomu and Rin are childhood friends who graduated high school without losing their virginity and moved to Tokyo together to get good jobs and girlfriends. They end up creating manga. This was so much more serious and wholesome than the first chapter would have you believe. I. It's difficult, certainly, Nozomu took that rejection much better than I would have. Even letting Rin back into his life in that way and willing to take the chance and be hurt, all over again. I'm glad that Rin didn't unnecessarily prolong it, and Sawamichi was so lovely. It's rare to have girls like her in yaoi. I'm just glad they're happy together now. 4.7
Kimi wa Kokan no Mochigusare
Dotei no Ore o Oshitaoshita no wa Osananajimideshita
Emm. It was good, but waaay too short? Dissatisfied, ngl. Glad about the consent, tho 4.4
First Come, First Served
Koki is a bottom with abandonment issues who only sleeps with virgins. His one night stand with Masumi, a gentle guy who just got dumped, was supposed to be a one time thing. But Masumi turns out to be eaxctly what Koki needed. I actually really enjoyed Koki's personality he more honest, and less shallow than other characters that fit this mould, I also really loved how Masumi was helpless and held his ground and pushed for his needs. 5 5: Random oneshot about childhood friends who are secretly in love with each other and a brief misunderstanding that happens before they get together. Overall, it was okay. No troubling elements, but also boring and forgettable. The overprotective brother was a nice touch, though. 4.2 Overall: 4.6
I Hate
Both were good stories. Both 5 star. I love that they are connected. The reencounter element and childhood love element were lovely together in both. I do prefer the first one, with the virgin, but both were good. My only complaint is that both stories wasted years on angst
Outside Flower
Masamoto is a socially hopeless 29 year old virgin (and movie fanatic) who starts receiving a lot of unsolicited but useful advice on getting a lover from Sakuya, a nosy and friendly high schooler preparing for college. The seme (Masamoto) is so innocent and he's definitely not taking advantage of Sakuya, but, I just. It's not so much the 10 year age gap or Sakuya being barely 18, but both in combination. It's just a little difficult. I'm glad they didn't do a full blown sex scene, don't think I could have enjoyed that. They really did make each other's lives much better, though. They do fit well together. And they do care about each other a great deal. It wasn't bad 4.4
Osananajimi no Kahanshin Jijou
Chap 1: About childhood friends Satoru and Aya, who just started dating in uni. They haven't had sex yet because Aya is anxious about his lack of pubic hair. He finally tells Satoru, but Satoru says he wants to see! The 2nd chapter about the couple is just a filler about a bout of jealousy. It's much less yaoi and much more shounen ai, even if most of the plot revolved around them having sex. It was rather boring and forgettable, but certainly not offensive. 4.2 Chap 3: Story about the socially awkward new hire, Fushimi and his supervisor Hira. Hira tries to help Fushimi, who was bullied before and is so traumatised that he cannot meet people's eyes, become more social. In the process, Fushimi falls in love and confesses, only to be told that Hira is already gay and Fushimi is just his type. This was definitely my favourite from the lot. I really, really liked Hira. He was so genuine and nice and Fushimi was also pretty sweet. I think, though, all the nice and supportive side characters really lend to the pleasant feel of the story. Just one concern. Author doesn't address the jealousy, that looks like it could potentially fester. Hope not. 4.6 5: A oneshot about Sakae and Chikusa, who are in uni, dating and about to have sex for the first time. They don't end up doing it because Chikusa forgets the condom at home! This, again, had pretty much nothing to offer interms of plot, but the message was important. Sakae says he's fine without but Chikusa says Sakae is too important to him for that. They wait. That's it, that's the whole story. But I still liked that Chikusa was so responsible, it's such a rare thing in semes his age. 4.4 Overall: 4.4
Gachiiki Chouhatsu Night
First and foremost: I love multiple story anthologies with good plots and great characters, they are so entertaining and enjoyable! 1: Kensuke doesn't particularly know Matsui well and feels threatened by his good looks and competence. On the other hand, Matsui is jealous of Kensuke, who gets to be in the Planning Dept., just like Matsui has always wanted. However, when the rest of their coworkers bail on them during what was supposed to be an all night drinking fest at Matsui's place, they end up drinking alone and goading each other into having sex! I really loved Matsui's softness when it comes to Kensuke how quickly he manages to destroy Kensuke's inferiority complex (which had the potential to turn ugly, fast), and without even knowing about it, at first! Also, Matsui being switched to the Planning Dept., like he had always dreamt of, honestly, that made me SO happy! He deserves it! I think it was incredibly selfish of his boss to stifle him like that, Planning boss is so much better, in comparison. Really glad that Sasaki won, he really needed that. Anyway, love that they're together and still just as in love, so many years after ^.^! Also, love how in tune they are with each other's feelings and needs! It's great! 5 extra 1: Tomonari breezed through life with nepotism and doesn't really care about his job or the burden he is causing to his poor supervisor, chief Sasamoto, at work. That is, until the day he saw chief Sadamoto being done in the storage room by the Director, who was using Tomonari's incompetence as an excuse to get his dirty hands on Sadamoto and punish him. Tomonari becomes determined to not only shape up and prevent future punishment, but also teach Sasamoto that sex should never be a punishment, but should rather be a reward. It was short and awkward, but the sincerity with which Tominari loved him, that's impossible to hate! 4.5 extra 2: Tatsumi (a professional boxer) is getting mixed signals from his trainer Sho, whom he's known for a long time. Tatsumi thought "helping him masturbate to keep him focused during matches" was just an excuse for Sho to get his hands on him. But Sho keeps blowing hot and cold, and leaves Tatsumi confused. Turns out he was waiting for consent and an affirmation of his feelings, the whole time! Men really need to learn to just communicate their feelings, wow. 4.4 extra 3: Ryoji is helping Shota prepare to be a spy (?) by teaching him how to hide weapons in his anus. Basically, college students will find any excuse to have sex. Closeted college students with feelings for each other? Literally, any excuse! Despite the ridiculous premise, was still okay. Pretty hot, if nothing much else. 4.2 extra 4: Masaru reluctantly moves back home with his dad and supposedly delinquent cousin, Daiki. Turns out, Daiki is completely different from what he had been expecting. I genuinely am so happy that Daiki getting the attention and love he absolutely deserves, the precious little beb! Both from Masari, and his dad. I hate the bit about the gang, but the extras soften the blow somewhat. Still hate it, though. Glad Daiki immediately voiced his feelings about Masaru's misunderstanding. And gladder still, with the tiny tidbit about how Masaru protected Daiki's honour. Just be happy my lovelies! 5
