You know what. I thought I was ready, but I was wrong. I can't read this without an ending. It's just too damn awful. Ch 28

Eddy, an American singer, doesn't really leave a good impression with Jay during Jay's 1 day gig as a bodyguard for him while he was touring in Korea. But will time spent together and better understanding of each other's motivations help these two, who got off on the wrong foot? Throwing a deadly stalker into the mix, along with a tragic past, each, can't help matters. Or can it?! I am so glad I stuck with this. Jay is too unreasonable sometimes, but I do like him, he's got guts. Eddie is a bit too inconsiderate at times, but he's definitely trying. There's no way I don't appreciate all the times he humbled himself and asked for a chance, or for forgiveness, or for Jay to return his feelings. Overall, story was interesting and I had a good time with it. 4.8

Daiki was an outgoing and extremely smart kid who was popular with his peers. Takizawa, a budding alpha, had always had his eye on him as a "potential mate candidate" (he's definitely not all there). But when Daiki's secondary gender gets revealed, all the bullying he faces for being an omega makes him withdraw in on himself, making him almost unrecognisable when they reunite in university. Will Takizawa be able to draw Daiki out of his shell? Does Daiki fall into his trap despite all the huge-ass red flags? (yes, yes he does) It was interesting, but, wow. He's a psychopath. For real. I mean, sure, he cares about Daiki and will treat him really well, can take really good care of him and all, but yeesh. The man is crazy. 3.8

I. It's just. A lot? He's literally not right in the head. And what he did was just disgusting. And Gu Won was losing his shit, too. I don't know if I can survive the traumatic backstory either. But I am incredibly curious so will read on.

Izumi is a beta who is strangely popular with alphas. When he meets, Hana, a bartender at a random bar he visits, Izumi can't understand why he is so drawn to him. I hated the fact that there is no justice in this story. They're good together, they really are. Izumi is so kind and considerate and Hana is unbelievably strong. I don't know how Hana does it. But that rapist fucker gets to go around still trying to further ruin Hana's life after all that evil, vile shit this dick cheese pulled, I just can't ever accept that. Someone should bash his head in. At the very least, have him arrested. I fucking hated it. 4.2

Kippei is a sub with a lot of internalised hate for his dynamic, having had a traumatic experience when he was younger. When meds stop working for him, he ends up getting referred to a centre that matches doms and subs for play. Who should he meet there, but his dom coworker, who turns out to be a surprisingly lovely person. Honestly, it looks so good. But the trauma lurking in the background scares me. Edit: Oh, baby. Don't do this. Don't go and get hurt. Edit: The trauma was bad, but not terrible, nothing physical, at the very least. And he overcomes it. Man, this seme might be one of the top 5 best semes ever. Service tops are such a vibe, honestly. 5 I hope there's an extra, a couple more extras.

Minehito is an interviewer who gave a small idol group their first big break. When he meets, and over the years, gets to know Rui, their prince charming, he is at first suprised by and later, interested in the duality of his personality. There, Minehito finds solace and acceptance for his own secret self. Good, but a tad boring. Still, the sex scene was so meaningful and their relationship is so special, I liked it. I do think Minehito's character was a bit all over the place sometimes. He was cute, though. And Rui, too, while hard to gauge at first, was still cute. Neither were the typical mcs you fall in love with. But both were good in their own ways- and not annoying, cruel, unreasonably stubborn or sfmelfish, at least. 4.6

It's gruesome and depressing the way most of these twisted Korean historical yaoi are. There's slavery, rape, death, flickers of incest, obsession, class warfare, unbearable amounts of abuse and staggering debt. It's not an easy read, but you can't help reading because you have to know they get to be happy. You have to. Ch 29

Ahh. Reencounter for Taku with Mitsuru, an old childhood friend who has changed dramatically since they last parted ways (not on the best of terms). Ahh. Poor Mitsuru. They're good together. It's good he has someone now. Taku is such a sweety and his parents are so great too. 4.6

Euncheol is a dude with a bdsm/humiliation/ play kink, which is difficult enough on it's own, but things become *really* twisted whwn his dog (Jonggu) turns into a human and they fall into a friends with benefits kind of situation. I don't know. I just. I'm drained. I guess it's good they're happy, but Euncheol made their lives so miserable just because he couldn't understand his own feelings. He's one selfish guy. Also, I just feel bad for poor Jooseong. He's quite the basket of issues himself, but I can see why, you know. That would mess most people up, yeah. I just. I'm tired out. My eyes are puffy from ugly crying. I don't know. 4.8
