Miki is in love with his best friend Kashiwa (older), who keeps him at arms length laready, just for being gay. Chiaki is frustrated and worried about losing his best friend Kashiwa (younger) because Kashiwa (younger) is too obsessed with his new girl friend. Chiaki and Miki run into each other when they realise that they have been sharing the same 'secret' hide out. I always hesitate to re-read this but end up re-reading, anyway. I've read tragedies by far worse and characters more appealing, but somehow, this one really gets me emotionally invested.

I don't know why I bothered to read this. Guess I forgot about the absolute lack of sensitivity, all the rape and loose characters everywhere. I feel bad for Akito. Here's a seme who deserves his own happily ever after.

The story is very compelling, hence the 3*, if not, perhaps I would have gone for a 1*. Yanagi's reason behind his torture of Arata, is so flawed, I do not know where to start! And Naoto, there is a special place in hell for people like him. As for Ten, we all know he is the looniest of them all. He's a psychopath, for sure. Hate everyone except Arata. Poor, poor man. He needs help to recover from all this trauma, instead he has fallen in love with his rapist :/

1: Nakagami asks for a goodbye kiss just as Hayashida is about to move away. Hayashida thinks that's gross and refuses. He returns during high school and has become an a***hole. Loved the uke, hated the seme. Nakagami deserves better. 3* 5: Hiromasa's boyfriend (senpai at work) tells him that he is getting married to the director's daughter but still want to continue the relationship afterwards. Of course, Hiro's not okay with that. Coming home from work, he sees Kaoru, who had been living with a cabaret girl downstairs, sitting outside with a bag. Hiro takes Kaoru in. One man unaccustomed to being loved, an one man tired of false love. A relationship blossoms. 5* 6: Shouji's girlfriend dumps him and he visits his usual bar, where he is friends with the bartender, Kodaira. Kodaira (just by simply existing) makes Shouji question his sexuality. Interesting read. 4*
