Suki toka Arienai!
Could be one firecracker of a relationship Edit: good and all but they never mellow out. That must be exhausting :/
Ai Wa Chitto Mo Rakuja Nai
1: The author uke is such a dick, nothing warrants that kind of shitty behaviour. I hate it when people call people stupid. Anyway, the seme could do better, but he seems to be happy, so? 3 2: previously married and miscommunications. Ho-hum 3
BL Sakka Tokidoki Ookami
Chiaki is a literary editor who gets roped into working for the manga department at his new job, where he meets the pushy Yuzuru sensei he has to work with. This was actually very, very good. Chiaki is such a sincere and genuine person he's so honest and lovely, I am so into him. I'm glad Yuzuru didn't turn out to be a complete dick, the blackmail in the beginning aside (it really was less blackmail and more just the uke going with the flow and falling for the seme) But the way he valued and protected Chiaki, as the story went on, and how he put Chiaki's dreams and future ahead of his own desires and interests, was just great. 5
Mayonaka Mirror Ball
Chiaki gets dragged out to a gay orgy with his fashion model coworker and it brings some much needed colour and passion into his life. Whaaat O.o This is actually SO good?! I am genuinely so surprised, because of the ratings??? Taiga is really, quite lovely. He's very out going, obviously, you wouldn't frequent gay orgies otherwise, but man, he's so timid in so mang ways too. My favourite is easily Chiaki, though. Easily. Aaah. He's such a cool dude! The way he quietly accepts other people and their points of view, the way he is unashamed about his relationship with Taiga despite not knowing he was bi up until he met him, how straightforward he is about his feelings. I just love him? I love this story, dammit. The friends were all really cool, too! 5***
Sensei, Mou Dame Desu
As the newest (unwilling) editor on a bl magazine team, Shishio is in charge of hunting for fresh talent and meets the the unshakeable and oblivious Satoru, a doujin mangaka / office worker who's trying to make it big. It was good, Shishio is by far a more patient man than I could ever be. Satoru is so far removed from reality, man. Glad he finally realised his feelings, though. 4.45
Kousoku Syndrome
Masumi who had been molested as a child is very conflicted with his sexual and romantic feelings towards Otomo, the ero mangaka nextdoor. I don't like that Masumi's trauma is never properly addressed or treated. Also, we don't know how old Otome is, so that throws me off a bit, even if Masumi is 18. It would have been good, even the mom ended up understanding (I'm also really glad she's getting remarried to such a nice dude), if only they had warpped up the loose ends properly. 4.4 5: Masumi's best pal Masafumi becomes caught in the web Otome's Kawasaki laid. Yet, Kawasaki himself is talling badly for him. I didn't really like this one at first, because Masafumi is such a gem of a character, and I really think few could deserve him. And Kawasaki really leaves much to be desired. But he does change his ways (amongst many other things) just for Masafumi, and it's difficult not to find that respectable. And also, just a tad, endearing. 4.2
To Make A Delicious Omega Squeak
Omegaverse AND animal characteristics/ shapeshifters thrown into one hybrid trope on steroids. Sachi is an omega mouse mangaka, being swayed and seduced by his alpha fox editor, Ukano. I do quite like it. It's a fun read, of course, but more than that, I love how responsible and respectful Ukano became over time. And Sachi too, I lived seeing him grow into himself, just a bit. 4.7 Ch 10
Do Shenshwcho wo ikenai goshido
Bruh. That's assault. Sure, the uke admitted that he liked it. But he said no, and no always means no, ffs. Why do yaoi mangaka so badly need assault in their plots. Ch 6
K-Sensei no Himitsu no Netsujou
