Uemura-kun ha Majime na Iiko
1: Uemura is an honour student whom everyone thinks is most innocent and well behaved boy around. But secretly, he's addicted to masturbation. And the guilt from it keeps him from ever making close friends. Then one day, a delinquent from 1st year, Matsuoka, walks in on him. But instead of blackmailing him or the usual plotlines, Matsuoka just offers him a helping hand (unbelievably respectfully, at that). They fall into a friends with benefits situation, but could it be something more? I really liked it. So fluffy! While Uemura is sweet and likable, I think Matsuoka is the star of the show, for sure! He's so respectful and sweet!! The sex is a bit much, though. So much of it, like O.o 4.8 5: Minamino, a high school delinquent, does not like fellow delinquent Kitaura, who was rude to him during the entrance ceremony, then later beat him in a fight. When Minamino sees Kitaura entering a love hotel with a man, he plots with his friends to turn that against Kitaura. But as Minamino starts to get to know Kitaura better, he comes to regret his actions. It was okay, Minamino was brave in standing up to his friends later on and even chasing after Kitaura to apologise. It does make him less of a dick. Kitaura is a bloody sait, though. Taking him back despite how scary that must have been. 4.4
Furyou Mesu Ochi
Higa thinks himself invincible, until he loses a fight with Fujinami. When Fujinami fucks him afterwards, Higa becomes hooked. Shallow but okay. Basic and forgettable 4.2
If I Hadn't Fallen in Love With You
The new audit manager Misato publicly declares that he hates Nono's (head chef for Chinese cuisine) oily food. Even though he's offended, Nono can't seem to keep away from Misato, who's particularities about food seem to stem from a not-so-good place. Okay, so, two things that I don't think they really have excuses for: Misato being so publicly rude and cold about Nono's cooking in the beginning and Nono pushing Misato away to protect him from the rumours, without giving him any choice or explanations. Aside from that, have to say I actually really like loud, nosy and kind people like Nono. Their energy is too much sometimes, but, damn, does it come from a place of genuine goodness. I think Misato did really well with showing everyone he wasn't embarrassed about his relationship with Nono. I really, really enjoyed that. That is how I would want to be loved. Also really enjoyed Nono being the uke. That was just the cherry on top of what was already a really good manga, with interesting characters and side characters. Wouldn't mind reading about them, too, actually. 4.9
Nitta-kun Chuuihou
When Tamura accidentally runs into Nitta, a delinquent at school, and takes home his bag by mistake, he discovers a secret that he thinks will lead to him getting beaten up within an inch of his life. But Nitta reacts veeeerrryyy differently from what Tamura expected. I think Nitta's got him hooked. But, he's got Nitta hooked, too. Just a bit. It's just, Nitta is the shrewder, of the two. But Tamura isn't exactly missing out, either. It's a relief to read something that even this balanced after the mind fuck that is "We Are All Works In Progress" 4.5
Nyotaika Yankee Gakuen ☆ Ore no Hajimete, Nerawaretemasu.
Torao drinks a strange drink from the vending machine and gets turned into a woman. While he's struggling to find a way to change back, he falls into a strange sex friends relationship with his former rival. He's not a woman, ffs! I hate the mangaka for referring to him as such. This is just ridiculously bad. And all the side characters showing up and trying to assault him every other chapter are the epitome of annoying and predictable. That girl who planned that attack does NOT deserve to be forgiven. All the shitty attempted rapists need to be reported right the fuck now! Only reading because I want to know if he changes back. 4
Shima-chan Chi no Tsugai Jijou
Akane and Shirosaki are good fighters from rival high schools. But when an incident ends up forcing them to get to know each other a bit better, it becomes irresistible for either of them to keep away. Dang. This is so wholesome. And their frisnds are so lovely. And they're just so good together. It was nice. The mating seems very rushed, though. 4.8 Edit: love that they're continuing. Hate the yakuza arsehole.
Hatsujou Relationship
Hajimi admires the cool Reiji who saved him from some bullies on his first day at school. But when he asks Reiji to make him his underling, Reiji makes a counter offer to be friends. Only, Hajime finds himself becoming more and more unsatisfied with being just friends. At first, I thought it was kinda cliché and a bit frustrating. But it was actually not too bad. 4.45
Double Face Niha Kanawanai
simple, straightforward. Kaname is a delinquent with a ridiculously rose coloured view of heroics and delinquency. Kaname is his seemingly straight-laced and annoying class president. They're too young for me and the story is pretty shallow too, but enjoyable. 4
Otome Yankee wa Unmei no Hito wo Matsu
The. Worst. Cliffhanger. Ever. Kijima's being a tad unreasonable, though. give him a chance, come on! (please update, asap (ಥ_ಥ) ) Edit: They're just so cute T.T 4.75
