Simplified Pervert Romance
Yuki just doesn't seem to be as into it as Ryouji. Ryouji feels so much more invested and it puts me off. I did enjoy this and the premise is interesting enough, even if not wholly unique. Yuki gets off on Ryouji hurting him, I don't begrudge him that, but Ryouji's never hurt him because he doesn't WANT TO! He doesn't want to. It's not really fair on him. I wish Yuki vould be into the d/s aspect of it, and not the being beaten the shit out of side of things
Becoming the Librarian’s Pet
Internet too slow, cannot load, will have to come back for the last one some other time. 1: Uke hero worships Ryu, the legendary delinquent, and works to glean every bit of information about him after he disappeared 2 years ago. Bit fucking disappointing, the way the uke glosses over the rape because it was someone he idolised. I don't like stupid ukes, anyway, and this one isn't exactly the brightest crayon in the box. Seme is trash. 3.5 2: Uke is the student council president at a prestigious private high school, but has a secret he is only too happy ro have one of his subordinates discover. This one's a bit more balanced than the forst, tbh. Though, the uke is kinda predatory and gross. But overall all right because seme held his own in some occasions. 4 3: Uke is a foreign exchange student from a tribal nation, who is staying with the Japanese seme. This obsession with the foreign 'other', the sexualisation and invention of strange cultural practices worries me a little, because it doesn't feel quite as benign as 'Mother' did. It was mostly okay, though. I'm so suprised with the way seme and uke roles tuened out. 4 4: Another foreign exchange student from the same tribe, this time the seme wants to learn about the 'dominant husband' culture in Japan and tame it back to his matriarchal society, like, wtf? Couldn't finish because of slow internet.
Baby Face Monster ÒÄ -Moto-Banchou no Ore daga Kuso-Gaki ni Ketsu wo Nerawerete iru-
Yes, that's what rape is, you pos!! Edit: I tried. I can't. It's too annoying. Droppped
Zettai, Fukujuu Meirei
Kikuma is a sub who presented early and unwittingly took out his frustrations on his baseball club supervisor. Even though he was the one who got hurt in the ensuing fight, he was expelled from the club and as a result, became even more argumentative and labelled as a delinquent by his classmates, none of whom have presented. But when he gets shifted to Takasumi, the doorm leader's room, Kikuma realizes a number of things about himself and his dynamic. This one, while it ended well, leaves a sour taste in my mouth. That was definitely dynamic abuse, for sure. Making someone submit against their will. Giving them a command the first time you met, without any consent or anything. Even if he did it to help Kikuma. It definitely doesn't sit right with me. It was still a good story. I just wish they had started out better? 4.45
Please be My Alpha! A Pure-Hearted Delinquent's First Love
The seme should make an effort, then! Make an effort to be someone you see as being worthy of Momo. Personally? I think you obviously are, and Momo clearly thinks you are too, but if you don't think that, none of that means anything. I love that the seme took that chance, even after that slight bought of cowardice, to win him over. Momo himself is so brave. I don't know if I could have put myself out there like that. All in all good manga, great characters. 4.5
Love Me Or I'll Kick Your Ass!!!
Shouta starts looking for the badass in his neighbourhood he remembers from his childhood, Soushi. Only, turns out, Soushi's bought his own bar and settled into a quieter life... or has he?! It was good. Didn't enjoy the two counts of attempted rape, why are there so many attempts in a short ass manga, anyway??! But glad it didn't happen. Want to read more with his mom finding out. I did like Shouta, he is a unique sort of uke, knew what he wanted and how to go after it, yet a spoiled little rich kid too, yet smart as fuck and hardworking too. He started out too spoiled, it seemed. But the mangaka just couldn't capture his essence that first chapter, I believe. In any case, I liked him a lot!
Charming Scarface
Shizuya was brought up with lots of love from his single mom and son of family friend, Yuma. Shizuya's always loved Yuma and he finally shows him that it's not a childish folly. Between how much Yuma got hurt, permanently scarred because of Shizuya and the age gap and the fact that Yuma used to babysit him, I just can't get into it? It always feels off and wrong. Dub con in the beginning didn't help, either. 4.2
Gachiiki Chouhatsu Night
First and foremost: I love multiple story anthologies with good plots and great characters, they are so entertaining and enjoyable! 1: Kensuke doesn't particularly know Matsui well and feels threatened by his good looks and competence. On the other hand, Matsui is jealous of Kensuke, who gets to be in the Planning Dept., just like Matsui has always wanted. However, when the rest of their coworkers bail on them during what was supposed to be an all night drinking fest at Matsui's place, they end up drinking alone and goading each other into having sex! I really loved Matsui's softness when it comes to Kensuke how quickly he manages to destroy Kensuke's inferiority complex (which had the potential to turn ugly, fast), and without even knowing about it, at first! Also, Matsui being switched to the Planning Dept., like he had always dreamt of, honestly, that made me SO happy! He deserves it! I think it was incredibly selfish of his boss to stifle him like that, Planning boss is so much better, in comparison. Really glad that Sasaki won, he really needed that. Anyway, love that they're together and still just as in love, so many years after ^.^! Also, love how in tune they are with each other's feelings and needs! It's great! 5 extra 1: Tomonari breezed through life with nepotism and doesn't really care about his job or the burden he is causing to his poor supervisor, chief Sasamoto, at work. That is, until the day he saw chief Sadamoto being done in the storage room by the Director, who was using Tomonari's incompetence as an excuse to get his dirty hands on Sadamoto and punish him. Tomonari becomes determined to not only shape up and prevent future punishment, but also teach Sasamoto that sex should never be a punishment, but should rather be a reward. It was short and awkward, but the sincerity with which Tominari loved him, that's impossible to hate! 4.5 extra 2: Tatsumi (a professional boxer) is getting mixed signals from his trainer Sho, whom he's known for a long time. Tatsumi thought "helping him masturbate to keep him focused during matches" was just an excuse for Sho to get his hands on him. But Sho keeps blowing hot and cold, and leaves Tatsumi confused. Turns out he was waiting for consent and an affirmation of his feelings, the whole time! Men really need to learn to just communicate their feelings, wow. 4.4 extra 3: Ryoji is helping Shota prepare to be a spy (?) by teaching him how to hide weapons in his anus. Basically, college students will find any excuse to have sex. Closeted college students with feelings for each other? Literally, any excuse! Despite the ridiculous premise, was still okay. Pretty hot, if nothing much else. 4.2 extra 4: Masaru reluctantly moves back home with his dad and supposedly delinquent cousin, Daiki. Turns out, Daiki is completely different from what he had been expecting. I genuinely am so happy that Daiki getting the attention and love he absolutely deserves, the precious little beb! Both from Masari, and his dad. I hate the bit about the gang, but the extras soften the blow somewhat. Still hate it, though. Glad Daiki immediately voiced his feelings about Masaru's misunderstanding. And gladder still, with the tiny tidbit about how Masaru protected Daiki's honour. Just be happy my lovelies! 5
Ore no Itoshi no Neet-kun
1: Girls have always obsessed over Chiaki's beautiful face, and guys have always shunned him. As a result, he can't seem to keep a steady job or friend, except Kei. They are both in love with each other but don't think they have a chance, admist small misunderstandings and jealousy. When they finally riddle it out, Kei declares that he'll only be with Chiaki when he finds a stable job, so Chiaki goes out and gets scouted as a model!? They were cute and all, but it was just an average plot with average characters. Not bad, just boring and predictable. Also, Chiaki wasn't so hot that people perpetually need to fawn over him, come on! No one is! That's such a weird trope mangakas insist on employing! 4.3 4: The supposedly delinquent Haniwa finds out Hana is in love with their classmate, Itou. Contrary to what he expected, Haniwa does not blackmail him or make fun of him, rather, he gently cheers him on! I really liked Haniwa. He's a great character! No need to make him terrible at studies, though! It didn't add much to the plot and unnecessarily takes away from how cool he is :/ 4.6
