Koko Wa Yasashii Niwa
Lonely and abused Akira is picked up by a man who mistakes him for his dead brother Loneliness and renewed hope brought about by new meetings are common themes in the mangaka's writing. Heck, she even has some good hits on warped familial relationships and bad parenting/ neglect, but this? This was more of a miss for me. The characters were great but the transition from Mamoru to Akira was too rushed. There should have been a couple months where he never avknowledged him with either name, just floundering about, trying to make it make sense. This feels abrupt. Still good, but abrupt. 4.3
Hate no Kouya de Vacances wo
Magnolia is a forest fiend who loves the altogether too human Emille and loses him over and over and over. You see, fiends live forever, and humans, not so much. Emille is reborn a hundred times and Magnolia loves and watches him grow old and burries him for centuries. So incredibly sad and beautiful. My poor heart. So unique, love the time skips, the suspense, the storytelling. Superb. 5* Yui is a disillusioned young guy who can't stand the sight of his pretty face that seems to be all he is valued for. Until he meets Nishino, who could care less about Yui's face I loved Nishino's personality. The no-nonsense completely sincere and just frankly self assured manner he excudes, ahhh. "I no longer think the luna moth's wings are prettier than you". My. Heart. 5* Shin is an astronaut carrying out a mission on a distant planet, testing it for habitability. His every day ends with reporting his mission to his colleague and friend Rukiya, who is dirtside on Earth and everynight is spent with the AI Rukiya built who can transform to look just like him. When his mission ends and he sets a course for Earth, though, things take an unexpected turn. So heartbreaking, good Lord. How could they have been so close yet so far? Never leave things unsaid. An unbelievably unique yaoi plot. Incredible. Definitely nothing "pandering to teenage girls" about this at all 5*
Kimi no Yume o Mite Iru
The lonely Yui who is estranged from his family meets Amemori, who claims to have dreamt of Yui his whole life. There's another, that's less SciFi and more supernatural fantasy that has a similar deus ex machina. I love both. Amemori, the old one, is absolutely lovely, he's so gentle and caring and confident and just truly my ideal in every way. The financial analyst amemori could grow on me, for sure. He's so perceptive and sought Yui out so quickly. Yui is such a wonderful character, so brave and selfless. I wish them 200 happy years together ^.^ 5*? I say 10*!!
MODS
Tora joins an escort service as a driver for their top escort Shiro, whose fascade of being dead inside cracks the more they hang out. See. When people like Shigure pass on. The world shatters around the space they leave behind. My heart breaks over and over for poor Haru and Shiro, who were stuck in limbo for so fucking long. Tora is so perfect, so caring, so right for someone as damaged and needing tender care as Shiro. I thoroughly enjoyed them and hated all the shitty clients at the same time. Odd mix of feelings to occur at the same time, that. Here's to incredible semes, lovely neighbours and finally moving on. 5
On Doorstep
Jimmy is a pickpocket who gets detained and made to apologise and work for a day (for pay) by an excop (Reese). He plans revenge but ends up falling for Reese. It was an intriguing and unique plot. I love how they have now changed each other's lives forever. Jimmy has been instrumental in Reese getting over his trauma and Reese has made a honest man out of Jimmy. They're really good for each other. The feel of the story was somehow more sincere and genuine than I had come to expect from yaoi.
Sentimental Rodeo
The sexual tension between Kou, the number one porn actor in his company, and Shuzo, a top cameraman, comes to a head. Porn industry and love don't mix well for me, but to each, their own. Personally, I don't like them putting their relationship on hold for porn. I don't like the teacher getting away scott free. I don't like Kou's trauma going unaddressed. He needs therapy. 2.7

Yukitoshi has a bit of an inferiority complex about his old classmate from university, Tomoe. Tomoe comes from a rich family, is perfect at work and a great lawyer. Yuki's old girlfriend even left him to join Tomoe's fanclub! When Tomoe gets headhunted to work for Yukitoshi's uncle's law firm, Yuki curses his bad luck. But is it really all bad? I really, really, really like Yuki! He is a lovely character! That gentleness and devotion, how hardworking he is, how compassionate he is. I really love it. Tomoe, though. Poor baby. What a terrible life he's had. Takashi was such an angel, to have loved him like his own flesh and blood for so long, despite being so young, himself. Not in a million years does Tomoe's cowardly, measly excuse for a brother deserve a hair on his head! And yet, Takashi will wait for him. Love is truly blind. It's amazing that Tomoe has remained so wonderful despite being treated like that by his family for so long. Overall, I felt the story should have been fleshed out and more detailed. Twice as long, if possible. As it is, it's hard to give the plot justice, but it was mostly still great. Sex scenes could have been shorter, the story didn't really need any. 5
Futari de Papa Hajimemashita
Upon return from an overseas posting after 2 years, Nogi is reunited with his coworker Aoyama, who turned Nogi down in the past, saying that he didn't want to date Nogi, because Nogi was originally straight. But now it seems Aoyama has a kid. And the kid (Tsumu) and Aoyama are as adorable as ever? And Nogi is still as in love as ever?! Nogi is a kind and capable seme and Aoyama is such a sweetheart, who cares so much about his people. And Tsumu is the best kid in a yaoi manga, maybe ever. Love the lack of terrible, homophobic people around them. Not realistic, but you need stories like this, sometimes. And I really loved that he got to hear his parents' thoughts, in the end. He really, really needed that, I imagine. 5
Itoshii Hito (SAKU Minori)
Homare hits on Junpei and takes advantage of his drunkenness, only to feel the guilt pile up once he realises just how drunk he is, and the fact that Pei has a kid. But between Pei's gentleness and the warmth of his little family, lonely Homare can't seem to stay away. OhMyGosh. This is tooth rotting fluff. For something that started out so bad, this sure took a turn in the right direction! Junpei's love and tenderness slowly but surely healed Homare's lonely, jaded heart. The sex was so tender and hot, too! I am so happy for them. Also loved that mangaka avoided the frankly overused and annoying trope of one incompetent partner in a relationship. I love that both of them were stable and providing for themselves. Also, what a sweetheart is Mashiro! He raised her so well! 5!
