Yuu and Keigo have been together for a decade. Keigo finally proposes a civil partnership but Yuu seems to be hesitating... It's good. Bittersweet and realistic, yet lovely and full of hope, too. I really really loved how well Keigo took Yuu's harsh words and let them pass over. Never let them poison their relationship. He's such a gem!

Uyama has been in love with his bestfriend, Sakyou, for years. Sakyou walks in on him masturbating to him and slowly starts to realise Uyama's feelings and his own. It was a good manga. Plot was basic, but with just the right amount of angst, and just one interfering 3rd party, who wasn't even that annoying. What was annoying was the bloody format! Why on earth would the author make two sometimes contradicting and sometimes overlapping versions?! It was just absurd! Put me off the story, and the 6 year time leap and missing their first time together, all sucked. 4.45

If I Hadn't Fallen in Love With You

Complete | Suji | 2019 released

The new audit manager Misato publicly declares that he hates Nono's (head chef for Chinese cuisine) oily food. Even though he's offended, Nono can't seem to keep away from Misato, who's particularities about food seem to stem from a not-so-good place. Okay, so, two things that I don't think they really have excuses for: Misato being so publicly rude and cold about Nono's cooking in the beginning and Nono pushing Misato away to protect him from the rumours, without giving him any choice or explanations. Aside from that, have to say I actually really like loud, nosy and kind people like Nono. Their energy is too much sometimes, but, damn, does it come from a place of genuine goodness. I think Misato did really well with showing everyone he wasn't embarrassed about his relationship with Nono. I really, really enjoyed that. That is how I would want to be loved. Also really enjoyed Nono being the uke. That was just the cherry on top of what was already a really good manga, with interesting characters and side characters. Wouldn't mind reading about them, too, actually. 4.9

Shinigami wa Korosenai

Caleb, a shinigami, was unable to take the life of a precious charge (Eiji), and resolves to watch over him, as he grows. But since he has meddled with fate, Eiji's life is riddled with dangerous incidents as other shinigamis and fate itself conspire to take the soul that the lord is owed. Is there any hope for these two souls who care for each other so dearly? I liked it. Plot was meaningful, but the story was a tad short. The transition from "shinigami do not feel lust" to the sex scene was a little odd, though. 4.7

Seiji is an upstanding salaryman who is obsessed with the food of one particular deli owned by the flirty chef, Haruki. Haruki, who fell head over heels for his regular customer, is determined to wear him down. Damnnn. Was not happy with that first kiss, buuuttt. He won me over, dammit! Cute, simple and sweet. And so, so hot. 5 Edit: and I love the title, too!

1: Student x Teacher. A kid in sensei's remedial class keeps insisting on his romantic feelings for him. Sensei keeps dismissing him, thinking it's all a prank, but what if the kid's serious? I don't like it, he's just too young for sensei. 3.4 2: Student x Teacher. They were lovers when Kaya was in high school but the teach broke it up, because he was worried about Kaya's future. When Kaya disappears shortly after and returns 4 years later, teach is still left with nothing but regrets. Still squicky thay he dated his student, but better than the first story, where we actually have to read through the underage relationship. 3.4

He's a high schooler, though? The premise and the characters were interesting, but why make him a high school student?? It's just so unnecessary.
