500-nen No Itonami
I can't explain enough how abso-fudgin-lutely amazing this is! Yush, yush!
Yatamomo
Wow. I had forgotten how good Yata was. Wow. Momo is finally getting some good back in his life. And poor Momo, really. He deserves to be happy. They both do. Strangely melancholy but fluffy, this one. I really, really like it!
Kimi wo Watareba
The 5 stars are in honour of the absolutely heart-wrenching first story 1: A boy is displaced from his time, nearly a 100 years into the future. And woe is me, he falls in love and falls hard. He makes a place for himself in his lover's heart but life can be cruel. Where one day passes for one, the other has already lived and died, loving to his last breathe. Beautiful. 120: Art students in mid 20th century Europe? Not quite sure. Simple and difficult to love as the character details and their circumstances are crammed into a small number of pages. 147: Something about a gay dude, whose family gives birth to gay first-borns. His lover is originally straight. Forgettable, frankly.
Innocent Bird
Plot: The fruitless love between an unorthodox demon and an angel who has begun to doubt his beliefs. This sets forth in motion events greater than the two of them. Thoughts: Really makes you question faith, in terms of the universe presented here. Hauntingly painful, plot-heavy and interesting.
Eien no Shichigatsu
Tachibana meets his senpai from uni (who disappeared during Tachibana's 2nd year of uni due to unknown circumstances) after 10 whole years. Old wounds are reopened and an old love comes a-knocking... except for, Tachibana's already engaged to be married to a wonderful girl. Cheating and hidden truths and much drama. Frankly, the cheating turned me off, but the fiance, she is gold, she is! The 4* are for her, the hot art and the ending, one star taken away because of the cheating seme.
Konya, Mister De
1: Kyouhei is tasked with bringing his runaway friend, Chika, whom he is in love with, to visit home. Chika is gay, and Kyouhei is sort of bisexual (I guess), but only attracted to Chika. Kyouhei is the type of seme people dream of. 2: The seme here, Yudaai is such scum, really. I can understand Momo who puts up with it, though. Not everyone loves in the same way, and some people love as self-sacrificing-ly as Momo does.
Nichijousahan Bi - Beautiful Life
Fumichi is truly a lonesome soul, with no relationships and connections, working at the shadiest of shady bars. However, his life is turned about by Sazawa and his daughter Iyo, who teach him to feel once again. To care for himself and others too. Thoughts: While I understand that Fumichi did not feel strongly enough about the abuse he was being subject to, to do something about it, the fact that no one else, especially Sazawa, felt obligated to prevent it from the get-go, really drags the warmth of the story down somewhat. But it was still good. 4*
