Netsuno Ori
Realistic and terrible. Frustrating, because we do not get to know what happens to the Jewish pianist
My Life With You
The Wrong Way to use Healing Magic
Silk Like Him
Too much nationalism and political agenda without depth. Either plot and characters are boring and all over the place or the translation is. Possibly both. Nice art, though? I'll take a good black and white story over a mediocre coloured one any day of the week. Actually, never needed colour pages, tbh. Oh, well. Edit: I think, I won't continue.
Mauri to Ryuu
1: Mauri, who was sent as a sacrifice to the wandering dragon god Raika (who doesn't eat people, where do these rumours come from, anyway?), in an unfortunate town were all the women have been kidnapped by an evil rapist merchant. Too short. Also hate the townspeople who used the lack of females as a valid excuse to harass and rape him. 4.5 2: Kanbai, who's been in love with the wandering rain god Shironome, since he was rescued from drowning when he was only 8, thinks it's unrequited. "Em... about this rainbow that's been up there for a week now..." It was okay, I didn't think it was anything special 4 3: A god of spring who calls forth the spring by singing in bird form and Jiin the consientious hunter he slowly falls in love with as he watches Jiin grow up. Jiin save him from kidnappers and he save Jiin in turn. A forever kinda love. Really liked the vibe, though too short. 5 4: Lovers Kitsune and Orphee, the wandering horse god and lost little Kio whom they adopt. Kio is not all he seems. Really bittersweet and beautiful. 5 5: Otsuka the black dragon god who is rumoured to bring misfortune and Itsuka the bandit, who's been following him forever in a war ravaged country. Ongoing. 4.5 Overall: 4.6
Yuto and Lyco
Great world building. Across the big lake is a country where therion and half therion (sentient beings with animal characteristics) rights are disregarded and they are treated like slaves and "pets". The country where everyone is treated equally finally manages to enforce a truce via allied forces and works to rescue refugees and survivors. One such rescued child is Lyco, who was badly mistreated as a "pet". He is temporarily housed with a social worker, Yuto but they love each other so much, that Yuto decides to adopt him permanently. Only, Lyco's feelings of love begin to evolve beyond familial regard. It's so well done. Lyco's so cute! He definitely deserves a lifetime of happiness, surrounded as he is by loving people. Yuto is such a kind person, and so supportive and definitely a great guardian. Choosing not to develop their relationship in a rush and not having them physically involved at this stage is a great decision the mangaka made. Very well done. 5
The Psycho Duke and I
The male lead is SOOO unhinged but at least they don't make excuses for it. Plot's interesting, and FL's quite resilient. Depressed but hanging in there. Ch 24
