Cab driver Taira picks up a customer (Ranpei) who, covered in blood, requests a ridiculously long distance trip. Cover really doesn't do the story justice. Despite not being a one shot, this is skimpy on the details, which is a real shame. A chapter more would have been enough. I found the plot to be really interesting, and the mains quite charismatic, in their own ways. Taira was so damn gentle, it was heart wrenching, and Ranpei is one tough cookie. I really, really liked this. Ending was also good 5

Slow burn by yaoi standards, despite being so short. Really likable characters and the angst around "only knew I loved him after I let him go" was really well executed. The yakuza dude, props to him, I don't know how anyone won't fall for that kind of sincere devotion. 4.7
