Cover Up
Looks kinda interesting, but also? Too many pain-in-the-ass characters (not the mains) Edit: Story about an abused soul, barely hanging onto his life and sanity, finally meeting the man who would breathe new life into him (and save himself in the process). The only real POS character is Seung Jae's disease of a brother! The rest have substance to them, if nothing else. Geum Hwa is such a fragile person, so unstable and wavering and hungry, but not sure for what, forever searching for a safe place to land. Or was that drown? Seung Jae is certainly his ocean. I love them together, they were clearly meant to be. They seemed to provide safe havens for each other in a way they hadn't seemed to know they needed. Min Wook is such a psychopath, like, he's literally insane, and such an abusive dick who was gaslighting the shit out of Geum Hwa. But I don't doubt he loved him once. He couldn't hold Geum Hwa, the sand like Geum Hwa, who was sliding out of his fists, never meant to be his, and he couldn't live with that. I am glad he let him go, not under any kind of delusion that that was in any way easy. Would love to see his own story with Seung Jae's underling. Geum Hwa and Seun Jae honestly need about at least, AT THE VERY LEAST, 10 sextras and flufftras.
Brother Auto Spot
When Jin walks in asking for a full back tattoo of Seina's choosing, he's not quite sure what to make of him. But Seina finds himself enjoying time spent with the odd, interesting and knowledgeable Jin more and more. I love how atypical their knowledge bases, personalities and appearances are. Hurrah, for defying expectations! I really do like both of them, think they're just genuinely very cool people. Enjoyed the brocon brother, too. But feel really bad for him. Wish Seina had given him a chance much earlier. Jin is too cool, seriously! Getting tattooed and owning a rare bookstore and dabbling in stocks with considerable success... damn. Can't decide if I want him or want to be him. Want to read more about them, about Seina's friends and his bro, too! 5!!!
Come to Hand
1: Miharu, a high school teacher, almost fainted from exhaustion on his way back from school, but is saved by Arashi, a handsome tattoo artist. They click almost instantly and begin hanging out, but it seems Arashi may be hiding something about his past. Quite lovely, so healthy and just, good vibes, all around. Both are such sweet people, both surrounded by good people. Just a happy, fluffy, feel good story, with an unexpected past that's a little lonely, but sweet, just the same. I love that his high school love came to fruition, even if 10 years later. It's so bittersweet and lonely that they didn't meet for so, so long. But I'm glad Arashi wasn't alone in the meantime. Having met again, though, just as he was thinking of him... All I can say is, they are surely fated to be together. ~Ahhh 5!! 6: Hajime, an actor gets the opportunity to star in the movie adaptation of a book by one of his favourite authors, Satou. When they meet, a pure, wholesome love blossoms. Pretty sweet and simple. 4.5
Engrave My Love
It was all right. Odd mix of yaoi clichés and some rarer tropes as well. The traumatised uke who doesn't date straight guys trope and the flower shop owner trope mixed in with the rarer happening bar trope. Kimda forgettable. 3.95
