Revenge Is Ours
I love it. It hits many right notes. Many! Of course, Junseo is trash; the trashiest trash to ever trash. But if that's all the story was about, it would be incredibly dull and one dimensional. The story has so much depth because it really touches so many key issues. It highlights the subtle and overt forms of sexism prevalent within families, workplaces and the society in general. It discusses a wide variety of situations that are based in misogyny, from stalkers, to sex offenders, to victim blaming, to succession rights, and even the not-like-other-girls syndrome and a whole lot more. It doesn't let off people like Sera's brother, or the actor in love with Nana, who were essentially nice guys, but did not seem to understand how disrespectful, diminishing and demeaning their actions could sometimes come across as. I love that Nana found her niche, that Sunyeong finally learned to strike the balance between being nice and having self-respect and that Sera made it to the top from her own efforts, just as she had always been primed to do. And I even love that none of them ended up with any of the potential love interests, at least, within the frame of this story. I wouldn't mind an epilogue with that, though. But I think all three women going on a trip to Cebu would be, hands-down, a much better epilogue. Ch 71
Ou no Kemono
I. Well. It's just hard to read. It's not just simply discrimination. It's slavery and forced prostitution and being treated like literal animals. I'll still read it but it's damn hard. Ch 6
Sigrid
This is really good. I'm reading something that's pretty similar, so this feels repetitive, but I dont really mind. Plus, this one's much better (and the other one was good, to begin with). I like Sigrid. The 180 that her peraonality's done is hard to believe, but I guess being framed and murdered will do that to you?? It's just that, how did she not think all those awful things she did to all those innocent people were, well, awful? How completely broken was her moral compass and how did it change so fast without much effort? It's weird, but I do like this new Siri, obviously. Also, I really adore the people around her. She's very lucky to have them. Perhaps, especially Arcana and Morris. Though, the timely assists by Rowengreen and Lunatil certainly can't be dismissed either. Ch 31
I'll Be The Matriarch In This Life
Phenomenally good. And literally everything's going her way, so it's really, really satisfying to read. She's also surrounded by competent, intelligent people. And she herself is so amazing. It's just, sheer wish-fulfillment Ch 97
Aidin
First of all, the plot is so good! Even with the basic reincarnation + revenge theme, this is completely unique because of the assassin MC! It's so interesting! And the fact that she already got the trust of the crown prince and other people so early (despite being known to be the head of one of Perdi's assasin units), is so satisfying. And the fact that she's so good at what she does. Also, the reunion with the brother so early on! It's only Ch 35. Alm of this makes me so eager to read on. Also, why is everyone so damn hot T.T Ch 35
How To Survive as the Devil's Child
It's kind of intentionally and unintentionally funny. It's hard to say much else, since she's still so young (though, thankfully, not a newborn anymore). Ch 24
Shadow Queen
It's honestly very interesting. "Shadow Queen" is such an excellenttitle and description, both. She's so smart and resourceful. It's kind of amazing. My only regret (and hers too, probably) is Eian. I know that she has no intention to get entangled with the crown prince again so the child will likely never be born. It's just so sad T.T Ch 45 Edit: Dammit! It's been discontinued! FFS!!
My Mom Entered a Contract Marriage
Really, really good. From the unique story telling, to the incredible art, to the lovable MC, a story that's difficult to put down. But also, I wish there was a little bit more from the Empress' perspective. It's great that they POV switch, though. Ch 75
The Predator's Fiancée
Ahhh. So. Damn. Satisfying. The MC's just so strong, dammit. And she's so smart. No wonder, everyone's so enamoured with her. I'll be honest, Lucearn's possessiveness is concerning, Elisha kind of needs someone who will be that unfailingly loyal and devoted. So it kind of works out. 5 Ch 65
Can We Become a Family?
