Very surprising, because most people would think it's a dimensional portal, but it was just in regular space, not even time. They live in the same plane/time/world, and that was great. I would hate to see a bittersweet end. I really liked how they connected and am glad that the misunderstanding was cleared, though, all thanks to Shaal and not Sal who didn't try to clear anything and just left (though he did realise that was wrong later on). I would have liked to have see much more; an official engagement, more of their lives together, how they improve the lives of Shaal's people, just, more. This doesn't feel like an end. Also, why can they both speak Japanese??
