Twilight (Nishimoto)
Youhei is an orphan without friends, who lives in an abusive home after his loving grandfather passed away. When he meets the vibrant Ryou, his colourless world is filled life once more. They develop feelings for each other but get caught and outed shortly after. Things go terribly wrong from there and after a life changing accident, the nature of their relationship becomes twisted. The time skips in this thing gave me whiplash. Ahhh. They wasted so much time misunderstanding each other's motivations and feelings. It was heartbreaking yet heart warming, too. But after all that pain? The fluff chapters were too goddamn short. Kudos to that sensei but fuck that principal and that jealous little bitch, too. Fuckin homophobes, man. 4.8
Your Eyes, My Words
Hwane and Jinha had an odd sort of twisted relationship in high school where they made out with each other, but were too scared to confess their feelings. When graduation came and went without the air being cleared, the memories of their time together festered and became old wounds over the years. Neither thought they would see the other again, and yet... It was fine. Angsty as fuck and bittersweet; heavy on the bitter and not nearly sweet enough. I honestly didn't really like Hwane, tbh? He hadn't confessed to Jinha, either? During high school. But he had the gall to act like he was the only one being hurt. He lied about how they met, created problems in their relationship where little existed, never responded to Jinha's declarations of love and even broke up with him! But the way he dealt with that café owner was really good. The way he dealt with everything else, no. Jinha had his faults, but, wow. He does not deserve and ounce of the hate he's getting. 4.44
My Sweet Husky Papa
Hasuki is a single dad who's never dated since his divorce, some 17 years ago. Going to a mixer organised by a match making agency, he ends up picking up (or was that being picked up by?) a man! Will his excellent chemistry with Inukai be enough to withstand his utter devotion to his adorable son, Ayato? I really, really liked all of their personalities. Ayato is such a wonderful kid, he raised him so well. I felt so bad for Inukai, who never knew warmth, and Hasuki, who carried around so much guilt for so long. I just really enjoyed Hasuki's personality, in general. He's not some silly simple minded uke, despite yaoi norms and the dog reference. I loved how in control and smart he was. This was a solid 5*
My Childhood Friend is Just My Type
Taku visits home after 3 years of uni to find that his cute childhood friend, Keisuke, has grown up to be his ideal type. It's hot and all and would have been a fun little read, but Taku let his feelings and insecurities get the best of him and took advantage of Kei. Kinda. The dubcon in the beginning makes me rate this 4.3
Shitsuren Junky
Keita has been in love with Ryu, since high school. Through graduation, long distances, falling apart and finding each other again, his feelings never wavered. Is there any hope for this long unrequited love? Both characters were likable in their own ways and the plot, while bittersweet, is heavier on the sweet side, unlike some other similar stories. It's the same awful situation of misunderstanding each other's feelings and wasting years apart, but the way it's presented here is a bit more palatable, just a tad lighter, if you will. Still sucks, though. I want to see many more chapters of them being happy together. 5
Service Time ga Owaranai
Nanbu is saddled with an unfortunate "lucky pervert" ability, whereby he's constantly put into accidental sexual/touchy situations. The ability has cost him a lot but can it one day become the reason he might find something good in his love life again? I loved it. They're really, really likable people and the plot was so fucking smooth, like? But it needs more steamy scenes. 5
The new employee
Seunghyun is just entering the work force at 29, after extended postgrad studies. He gets placed with a man who's supposed to be the most difficult section chief at the prestigious advertising company where he interns. But could there be more sides to him (Kim Jongchan) than meets the eye? I really, really enjoyed all of it. It's the competence kink, hard at work; I like to do a good job and know it. So glad the manhwaka has some similar ideas. I love that they highlight Seunghyun's good qualities which are directly related to his intelligence and work, instead of him being only "kind" or "sunny" or "full of heart" or something. He is perhaps, a lot of those things, but they were not the only things that defined him. And Jongchan. He's so dreamy. Imagine just stepping up and taking responsibility like that! My man's such a catch! And the sex, scorching, really. Between all the teasing and Seunghyun's delicious, delicious reactions, I loved all of it. 5 Ch 14 - first time
Oretachi wa Shinkon-san Kamo Shirenai
Kaburagi and Nasukawa are good friends who enjoy a "marriage of convenience", whereing they both conveniently use the excuse of practicality to be together as a married couple. Ahhhh! Nasukawa is too damn thick! Kaburagi is a blockhead, also! Fucking notice each other's feelings, ffs! 5 Edir: Somehow, I still want more. Ch 41
Ikasama Memori
Nakano and Tsuda lose contact after their high school friendship-turned-into-something-more, ends in disaster and misunderstanding. When they meet again due to a collaboration their workplaces were doing, old memories are dug right up and passions fly high! It's not that it was bad, but they wasted So. Much. Time. misunderstanding each other. It's just, sad. 4.5 Saeki and Ueda san's kid. Saeki is beyond surprised when a coworker's child suddenly confesses to him. I don't know, he's kinda young and Saeki is kinda wishy-washy. Hope it goes well. 4
