When Juvelia who was (allegedly) left to languish for a crime she never comitted chooses suicide as the only option left to her, she has no idea how wrong she was about everyone around her. Will being given a second chance show her how much she was loved and protected by her people?
As far as "villainess" stories go, this one's quite good. I like Juvel, she's smart and resourceful, even though she didn't go through any of the major image rehabilitation montages other female leads in similar stories do. Her ex is a legit psychopath, though. Wow. I cannot wait for him and the cowardly emperor to get taken down, for good, even. And also for all the various misunderstandings between Juvel, her dad and the crown prince to get sorted out. Seriously! There are too many!!
Edit: Most personal misunderstandings now cleared. Just waiting for the broader mysteries around Goddess Circe, Fafnil (Fenrir?) and the history of the Floyens, now. And of course, the rebellion.
Edit: Finally, the end! Whew. What a ride. Loved how everyone contributed to bringing down Fafnil. And we even got a wedding and kids. How on earth these two relatively selfish people managed to create a child as kind and precious as Franz is definitely a mystery
