Ousama Game (TAKAGI Ryo)
1: Kind and loyal 6th prince Renge volunteers to go to the neighbouring kingdom as symbol of faith and a measure to ensure loyalty (both sides exchange a prince and treachery on either side will result in death of exchanged prince). I love the uke so much, he has strength of character, that one. But he fell for that horrible prince, in the end. He would have been such a great stand-alone character. Ah, well. It *is* a yaoi, after all. 148: 6th and sickly prince Airi, of the neighbouring kingdom is healed by Homura's love (or is it his love for Homura?) 184: Conscientious Prince Yuuri from the neighbouring kingdom is caught in the notorious pirate, Kuuron's clutches.
The Crows Marriage
Sweet. But. Sketchy. Makes me uncomfortable, the power imbalance. He's just so sweet and innocent. Vulnerable. He's latched onto the first person who showed him kindness. Who has made him feel needed. Thankfully, the priest doesn't seem like he'll take too much advantage of that. But the making out is already takinh advantage? Isn't it? Though he didn't do it for that reason at all. At least his intentions seem good. I am worried Edit: Power imbalance not the issue I should have been worried about. It's mediocrity that's the real nail in this coffin 4
Honjitsu wa Ohigara mo Yoku
It could stand to be longer, but I still love it. 1: Standard fox clan and rabbit clan love story. The foxes ask for a rabbit bride in exchange for their protection from the turf wars between fox and raccoon clans. I think the rabbit is a really kind and strong character, even ended up facilitating peace between the clans, and gave up his freedom for the safety of his clan. He was a little emotionally thick at the start, but that's okay, he was in a really difficult position. The seme was sweet and cared for his family and the rabbit a lot. I liked both of them. 4.5 4: Dude falls in love with a prostitute and brings him home. I love love love stories with the theme of picking someone up off the streets and giving them a home. The characters were both nice, the seme especially lovely, going so far to take care of him, and I enjoyed the plot. 4.8
This Wasn't The H Life I Imagined After Reincarnation!
Oh! So it's not time travel, but a body swap??! Fascinating!!
Koishite kissshite kanjaitai
Literally just about Akihiro (omega) and Reiya (alpha) who are neighbours, whose parents arrange a marriage match for them. Just pure fluff about them meeting, growing together and marrying. It's just simply fluff. I enjoyed the relationship and the sex I skipped mostly because they're soooo young. 5
Muri Marriage
Momoki and Chickage are forced into a whirlwind arranged marriage by their villagers, to stave off some ancient curse they think is making misfortune befall their respective villages. It's probably some bullshit. I'm actually really mad at the villagers, they could have prepared two people for this from a younger age, easing them into it. Instead, they half-assed it and forced two complete strangers into a hopeless situation. It's great that they're wonderful people. And I really do think that Momoki is such a kind and considerate person, despite first impressions. And Chikage is trying his best, too. It's just unfair. Good for them, though, making it work, and trying so hard to be happy. 4.7
Muri Kon
I didn't want ti read this one principle, because no matter how you slice it, their parents' complete lack of regard for their bodily autonomy and consent was just, awful to think about. So freaking selfish, man. Having said that, they were still good together. But, I just can't support this, overall. 4
Ryoushu-sama no Hana Yome
Wow. I think it's because I'm coming straight from My Next Life as a Villainess, but my bullshit quota for today is well and truly full. From the rape, to the non consensual marriage, to the awful class system and snide mob characters, to the murder plot, I hated this 2.3
Shojo Kon ~Kohinata Fuufu wa Shite Mitai~
A botanist and an animal behaviour scientist find love!! It's smut, but they're pretty cute. 4.6 Ch 7
