This is really good and definitely different from other Chinese dramas but the thing that gets me is the fact that in the beginning it was practically raped and imprisoned her. he is way too possessive and that's one of the only reasons I brought it down a little bit

This was all over the place. There was some part where I didn't know what was happening, and I got really angry at a lot of the characters. plus it took him 249 chapters for him to actually propose. They didn't actually get married until episode 279. I felt like the story could have been a lot better, but the art was okay I guess and the characters I didn't like most of them, or their choices. To be honest I kind of liked Noen better for a while. For one thing he didn't rape anyone, plus he was super sweet to the main character. The only time I really hated his choices was when he purposely made the male lead jealous and when he rejected the children in the main characters stomach. Otherwise he was a really good character and I liked him. The male lead was not the kindest and he made the most horrible choices including leaving her multiple times and having sex with another girl while they were still together over a misunderstanding. He even tried to make her kill her baby just because he thought it was somebody else's. That's messed up. The female lead was super stupid in her decisions and wasn't very smart like at all. I didn't like her very much but she was okay I guess.the father thing kind of came out of nowhere and the leukemia problems were all over the place. Overall I definitely will not be reading this again, but I don't regret reading it. I did have to take multiple breaks from it though. This felt like a cheap roller coaster that was abandoned for 20 years. Not really exhilarating and you're fearing for your life.

I know this should not be funny but I laughed every single episode. Especially the episode where he chops the blonde guys head off and his head bounces. Unintentional comedy gold.

Bruh I know it won't happen but I really want the empress to end up with the concubine so bad they would be so cute together. The emperor is just a man-child and I hate him I want to castrate him and send them to his death. But the concubine oh my God I love her she's so cute and adorable and her in the empress have such amazing chemistry and I had to pause at like every one of their scenes and just like take it in I couldn't stop smiling. Plus the concubine wouldn't stop blushing and staring at her and wow
