ML makin his MOVES saved the FL, helping & hanging at the shop, whittling his longtime crush into a possible reality, unfortunately the FL is oblivious asl but he’s kinda getting thru. MC makes friends with the red hair girl when she saves her from the shit-head "wont take no for an answer" prince. FL manipulates the rival duke into making a bet to prove her legitimacy (since she's a young illegitimate woman from a now fallen family)to inherit the heilon duchy if she wins the hunting competition...what the rival duke doesn't realize is that shes the best mage in heilon. ML2 confronts MC about giving him a false names but accepts everything gracefully and moves on (or so we think? he comes off as such a shady bastard). 31 - MC meets ML2 who immediately gets to work on trying to get her to work for him so he can use/corrupt her. The duke persistently decides that he is going to keep MC and saddles her with work to keep her trapped in one place, this is so that ML can get close to her again and so that he can start the process of claiming her as his daughter. ML meets with MC only to rediscover that his affection is brutally one sided when it comes to romance, but convinces MC to stay and assist him in confronting the royals. They're going to the hero's appreciation ball now, where the duke plans to announce her as his adopted daughter because actually having a child will be seen as a threat to covet the throne. 23 - Her family that hasn't contacted her in the past 5 years finally sends a letter...Only to find out that it's a request for a death confirmation/certificate so that they can disinherit her officially from the will. She decides to go in person to forfeit her portion of the inheritance & disown herself, wanting to be done with all of them. Her mind is IMMEDIATELY changed when the countess' maid was sent to harass her. Now shes going to turn them against each other, leave them for ruin, and abandon ship. 19 - MC reincarnated into the body of the villainess in the novel she wrote, and was sent to the front lines of the war against demons at 13 out of spite from her family. She convinces the duke that shes useful by demonstrating her magic prowess. MC happens to pick up the ML one day after finding him in a pile of corpses and takes care of him out of guilt for creating his unfortunate situation. ML is interested in, worried for (since shes so young on the front lines at the most dangerous location), and then continues to be enamored with her & follow her over the course of 5 years. MC is dense as a brick and never realizes its because ML is in love with her even though everyone else does & continues with her plot to remove herself from importance to avoid the big bad death flag.
