I love how it starts off with something I've actually witnessed in real life - the struggle of one trying to find out who he is before discovering that others are OK with it.

I love the realistic feel of the relationship -- it wasn't a meet, instant lust, must fall into bed together type of love. It's a love that grew over time - the way most love is, right?

I love how this author is examining the self-exploration and fears a gay person experiences -- it's even more poignant that it's high school kids who are enduring peer pressure, too. I love this story-so far. It could easily go the other way and totally break my heart... wonder how the author is going to pull it together.
