It seems he remembers the last lifetime too" - spoilers abt mcs life on the first timeline (from user satan at work) "Arinelle was held hostage hostage by Marquis rodane incase duke lorenz (Arinelle’s dad) ducked out of the rebellion. She was sent to imperial palace after an order was sent to them. Arinelle is tortured secretly in the basement of prison after she nearly killed Maribelle by pushing her into lake using lariet. After a lot of torture, maribelle comes at night and gives a poison to Arinelle to kill herself as a mercy because Arinelle won’t be able to bear anymore torture and leaves. Arinelle throws that away in anger. Ethelred comes after maribelle and sees the poison and says maribelle is still soft-hearted. Arinelle wants to love somehow and begs him. He uses his ring to show Arinelle the last life how she treated maribelle and Arinelle cries and finally accepts her death, then ethelred cuts off her head. Duke Lorenz will also be executed for treason. ethelred is afraid in this life because maribelle came to him for revenge and when the revenge is over, maribelle comes into his office with a bright smile and gives a lot reason to see him and lightly blushes. in a moment of courage, she calls him "ethelred" (she always calls him "his majesty" or your majesty) and decides to confess.
