The father gave her the dagger to protect herself until He could come to get her wich is why He sent down His pupile, but our female lead who didnot know of her fathers strugel because of the emperor could Not understand her father until the end. The father Back then was only a Knights but He Had tanken the lead in protecting the kingdom sucsesfully which Made him the Hero for everyone. Because of that the emperor hot scared and Had Starter to threthen the Fl's father with His douthers live. So the father Had to choice but to follow the emperors commands which is why He was almost never Home and tries to keep her at a distance. AS for why the father didn't Just kill the emperor, He couldn't because of an artifact/object the First emperor left behinde. The First emperor was the strongest mage and left some objects that contained His powers, one of Those is in the Hands of the present emperor, it is a Ring, AS to what Power it has, was Not ,yet mentioned but one Thing is for sure the female leads live depends on that Ring. As the father often says in the novel that the emperor has no need for concerns as He still Has "that" in His Hands. In the present timeline the father is Working from the Shadows to keep His little Girl Happy, even treating her "Not so Worthy Boyfriend" good, and keeping the pests from coming to Close to her. But He still Has to Peace her sometimes when the emperor falls for hin because His sorry ass was attacked.....that happened soo often in the First Timeline but as our FL is acting different from her past self the Story chenges a Lot and so dose the father in His concerns for His little Girl. Background Info: -so main character Juvel/Jubellian was OG Juvel from the novel. the novel was created in her second life so that in her third life when she went back she was able to avoid her same mistakes. the novel was created by her worlds goddess??(i think that's what she was) -Regis-Juvel's dad was being controlled by the emperor through a ring. The emperor used Juvel as Regis' weakness which is one of the reasons why her dad tries to keep a distance. the ring controls Regis and makes him do whatever the emperor tells him to do. -in the past Regis and Juvel were very close when she was young. however her mom who could tell Regis was being controlled looked crazy to everyone because no one believed her. this caused lots of fights with her mom and Regis. and she always tried to tell Juvel not trust her dad -when juvel was little her mom hid Juvel in a closet when Regis was controlled and he was trying to kill Juvel. this same night the emperor sent assassin's who killed Juvel's mother and Regis couldn't protect her because he was controlled. Juvel sees her dead mom with her dad and assumes her dad killed her and becomes afraid of him. -the experience is extremely traumatic to Juvel and it gets so bad that Regis has her memory erased - The night Juvel killed herself in the first timeline was a misunderstanding obviously. Juvel's dad had his apprentice the crown Prince save his daughter but she misunderstood -after Juvel killed herself Regis went insane and lost his humanity and I think killed a bunch of people and then killed the emperor. the goddess then gave Juvel a second chance at life after Regis made the wish to the Goddess at the cost of his life -Mikhail poisoned the princess and framed Juvel because the princess didn't do what he wanted and to get to Regis. Mikhail also did not want to break up with Juvel-Regis made him break up with her. Mikhail was planning to save Juvel before she killed herself - Regis is one of the most powerful knights in the kingdom and the country's hero and he is called a transcendent. basically a knight with supernatural abilities -Max the crown Princes mother the first empress was poisoned by the second empress when she was a concubine. the second empress is the mother of the princess Beatrice -the country was founded by a powerful Dragon named Paphnil who fell in love with the Goddess Kirke who loved all her people after he mistakes her love for love for him romantically?? he is the father of the first emperor I think and his son seals him away after the Dragon becomes too dangerous -the Dragon is sealed on the Floyen(Juvels family) duchy property -mages are rare and the current emperor has killed many mages for their power the story: -Juvel had lived her life as Juvel until she is a teen before she gets memories of her past life in Korea. then she thinks she's a character in the novel. Juvel then breaks up with Mikhail(the novel ML) to avoid her death and no longer acts like the villainess she was acting. and then plans to make enough money so she can just live on her own in the future but she tells her dad that she broke up with Mikhail and says she doesn't want to get married to anyone who isn't basically the best and isn't stronger than her father. -her dad is glad she broke up with Mikhail because he didn't think he was good enough for her and then comes up with marriage candidates for Juvel -Juvel becomes penpals and friends with a baron's daughter named Rose who invites her to her bday party -Regis attempts to bond with Juvel many times but Juvel misunderstands him a lot but lol he tries very hard it's sweet -Juvel sees her dad's apprentice(crown Prince named Max) and misunderstands and thinks her dad loves the apprentice not her - Juvel for most of the story doesn't realize Max is the crown Prince since his father and the 2nd empress sent him away to fight to keep him under control (also empress attempt to kill him) - the apprentice Max is very cold blooded and willing to murder anyone who deems is a threat so he doesn't understand Regis love for Juvel who he thinks is a weakness. Regis believes Juvel is the only reason he is still human -the emperor throughout the story keeps Regis on a leash and mostly away from Juvel -Max goes to see Juvel as he is curious about her (who he thinks is weak and doesn't understand Regis love) but Juvel talks to him boldly and he gets annoyed and confused when she doesn't appear to be afraid of him then she realizes he's her dad's apprentice and misunderstands and thinks he is commoner mercenary who has no place to stay so she says he can stay in her bedroom because she knows her dad really cares about him and she feels bad for him lol.(for the first time he falls asleep and has a good rest) -Max and Juvel bond while he stays in her bedroom a few days he acts like a brat but is pretty obedient with her as he begins to fall for her lol he even gets jealous - Juvel misunderstands a list and thinks her father wants her to marry the Crown Prince. Juvel is very afraid of the Crown Prince due to the rumors and also because of the novel and it's valid since Max is known for killing easily -at Roses party people now believe Juvel has become a much better person and she becomes popular for beauty and kindness and people think she is very close to her dad who escorted her to the party - Juvel and Max contract date so she can avoid marrying the Crown Prince who she doesn't realize is Max. Max is already in love at this point. at a tea party Max is revealed as her lover who they think is a commoner -Mikhail is obsessively in love with Juvel and Juvel makes it clear she does not want him near her but he doesn't care thinking she will love him once she sees he loves her so much. he also has major anger issues and is an alcoholic. throughout the story he makes many attempts to get with her and wants to kill everyone keeping her from him -everyone is basically in love with Juvel and that drives Max and Regis crazy it's super funny -Max made attempts at trying to get Juvel not afraid of the Crown Prince so she wouldn't be afraid of him when she found out who he was but for the most part it fails so he's super afraid of telling her who he is and has one of his knights wear his armor and pretend to be him so he can be with Juvel -Max is super duper hopelessly in love with Juvel -Crown Prince goes to war and becomes known as a hero (no one knows his identity yet) -Juvel becomes friends with the Princess Beatrice unknowingly -Princess Beatrice mother the 2nd empress uses Beatrice for power and always criticises and treats Beatrice terribly making Beatrice feel inferior. she also she cheated on the emperor so she could get pregnant with a son -Beatrice and Max do not get along but because of Juvel, Max protects her. - The emoreror sets.up Mikhail and Beatrice so he has more power but Mikhail is using Beatrice to get to the emperor so that he can get rid of Regis or anyone in his way and have the power to make Juvel be with him - at the Princess coming of age ceremony Juvel learns Beatrice is the Princess and after putting things together also realizes Max is the Crown Prince -Juvel says she wants to end.the contract dating and it makes Max cry because he thinks she's breaking up with him but then she kisses his cheek and then they kissing confirming their feelings for each other - Regis tells Max he can't be with Juvel because she doesn't meet his standards of being stronger than her dad. Max trains to become a transcendent like Regis -Juvel also realizes her father loves her and wants to get closer to him and starts calling him Daddy the first time she does Regis smiles and she starts crying and it's a sweet moment. from then on Regis does everything to show his love for Juvel and Juvel does the same -the emperor has a lot of evil schemes one being at the hunting competition he endangers Juvel's life so that Max can save her(he doesn't know they're dating so he's trying to set them up so he can control Max using Juvel as his weakness) -Juvel risks her life saving Beatrice at the hunting comp. and nearly dies but Max becomes a transcendent at that moment(since his motivation was to protect) and saves her. Regis at the time was being controlled and couldn't save Juvel -Beatrice mage powers began to awaken(in the original story Beatrice is supposed to be the strongest mage) -everyone then discovers Juvel's lover is the Crown Prince(even though they were trying to keep it a secret from the emperor) he also cries because he was afraid she would die -Regis takes Juvel to inspect their territory. where the father of the first emperor dragon Paphnil who is half sealed after Regis had broke only part of his seal to have him erase juvel's memories -Paphnil reveals Juvel's is very powerful and has a lot of mana which makes her so weak sometimes. her massive amount of mana attracts mages to her -Max proposes to Juvel at her coming of age ceremony but it doesn't go as planned. he gives her his moms empress crown. Juvel goes into a coma that night after receiving her memories that were sealed away. -after a weak of reliving the memories she wakes up and tells her dad she knows he didn't kill her mom. Regis explains the emperor tricked him when he was younger into signing a contract that allowed him to control him making him murder people against his will. -Paphil tries to manipulate basically everyone so that he can be free and destroy the empire -Juvel reveals to Max Beatrice and Regis about the book/first timeline. Regis tells her he has nightmares of the first timeline which is why he changed so he could be there for Juvel -Juvel and Beatrice both learn how to use their magic - a lot happened in between but it's a lot to explain but i can explain it in another post if you want -on foundation day a lot goes down. the empress poisons herself to save beatrice and show the emperor is a bad person, the emperor controls Regis to make him kill everyone in the the room -Juvel uses a magic barrier to stop her dad and protect everyone. Max takes over for Juvel to hold back Regis until the ring magic wears out. Juvel leaves to protect Beatrice from Mikhail who wants to kill Beatrice for her magic -the emperor sets Paphnil free but he betrays him and kills him. later Paphnil tries to control Regis but the ring chooses Beatrice as the owner since she has stronger mana. -Paphnil is still very strong and they all try to fight him and Juvel wants to seal him but you need a lot of power. Juvel tries to sacrifice herself using all her magic to seal him but then the Goddess helps by possessing Beatrice. Paphnil is sealed and Beatrice and Juvel faint -Juvel is on the verge of death when Beatrice wakes up and Regis and Max fight trying to decide who will die to save Juvel. but Juvel wakes up after dreaming of her mom -Mikhail is caught and in jail. Juvel wants to give him a potion to forget her and start over but Mikhail kills himself so that she'll never forget him but Max lies to Juvel and tells her Mikhail is happy and moving on -Juvel and Max sleep*wink wink* together -Juvel and Max get married and the Goddess asks for Juvel's wish during the wedding and Juvel wishes to get married and then some time after Max becomes the emperor and she the empress happy ending Bonus cuteness: -Regis talked a LOT about Juvel ever since she was little to Max -Regis began training Max after the death of the first empress when Max was a kid so that Max could become stronger to protect himself, avenge his mother, and get rid of the emperor. Regis is basically a father to Max even tho they fight a lot lol -Max is constantly Jealous but he does his best not to show Juvel -Max visits Juvel's room a lot mostly at night without Regis knowing. Regis always tries to keep Max away from Juvel -Max is like a puppy who does most of whatever Juvel tells him and also tries not to kill or harm people as easily like he used to. he's also self conscious about his looks. he eats sweets even tho he hates them because Juvel thinks he likes it and always smiles when he does. -Max is always thinking about how cute and pretty Juvel is and he always wants to hug and kiss her and more(he can't do much since she isn't of age and Regis is always trying to prevent him lol) -Max and Juvel sleep in the same bed at one point of course Max wants to do the other kind of sleep but obviously can't so just cuddling is enough -at Juvel's coming of age ceremony she dances with Max first and then with her dad the rest of the night -Max took care of Juvel when she was in a coma and hardly slept -Beatrice and Max are always competing for Juvel -when Juvel tells Max she loves him first(he usually tells her first) he wants to declare the day a holiday lol -Max cries when he sees Juvel in her wedding dress -Max and Juvel call each other "honey" -Max tells Juvel if she doesn't want any children he is okay with that -when Juvel gets pregnant Max is excited and preps for the baby(ies) -when Juvel is about to tell her dad she is pregnant Max gets super excited and blurts it out saying ("I'm gonna be a dad soon!") Regis is super shocked but obviously very happy -Regis stays in the palace to help take care of Juvel while she is pregnant which Max is unhappy about as Regis tries to hog Juvel and keep Juvel away from him. But Juvel is so happy Max puts up with it -Max and Juvel have twins. A girl named Alice with silver hair and red eyes and a boy named Franz with black hair and blue eyes. -Regis and Max make a big deal out of naming the kids so Juvel named them but Regis and Max wanted to call a royal official meeting to decide the middle names ijaghakhga -when the twins grow older Max spoils them. Juvel is the stricter parent. I think in chapter 25 abigail had wrong impression that both the king and miriam are children The king was 15, and the one who forced him to have sex is the mom/the adults The wife forced him too, but from what i see she's just echoing the adults's opinion, i haven't read that far, but it's stated that the first wife was as young as the king, so maybe she pushed him to quickly have an heir because she was pushed by the adults too? I mean she's young and her mindset is heavily influenced by the adults, so even though she had a role in forcing him, i think the fault is still on the adults? I mean yes the king got traumatized, but the first wife died, before knowing how old she was when giving birth to blanche i didn't think too much why she died, but after finding out that she was a teenager, no wonder she died, adolescent/teeage pregnancy is super risky... Somehow i think the king and his first wife are both victims of the adults

Some people might enjoy reading this some may not. For me tho, as long as the story, plot, characterization are well written and delivered, I'd probably enjoy it regardless of the norms or how others deem it being f*cked up(ofcourse I had my own limit to how much f*cked up the setting of the story I would read)... ML fell in love with FL at first sight, so the events that happened after is probably not enough for him to dis-love FL. Y'all, so FL was sneaking to ML room to read his Diary.. - it was a part of the diary that's written by ML, that when he came to check the wagon, he found out that wheels of the wagon was a little loose.
