Tanaka-kun Wa Itsumo Kedaruge
it's pretty humourous, not in the "LMAO" way but "lol" way. there's some chara development over the course of the manga, but it's pretty minimal. i like oota x tanaka. their dynamic is funny with one being overprotective of the other and the latter caring for the former in his own way, they're best friends who are wrongly assumed to be lovers bc of their closeness lol it's not to be taken seriously. i dont mind tanaka x shiraishi, and tbh it's not as enjoyable but shiraishi is a sweet gal.
Yasaotoko to Sadistic
this is my guilty pleasure ngl. toxic relationship with obsessed stalker in love with mc, but he hates him cuz said stalker used to bully him. abused turn into abuser of their past abuser lol
Dear Gene
10/10 nearly a masterpiece, just to keep it safe. but it is one of the best bl mangas ever. it's a very beautiful story about two men who heal their emotional baggage through the comfort they bring to each other. I did tear up a few times when i think about how they will separate in the future. storytelling is amazing- it was a great choice to depict trevor and gene's story thru trevor's nephew reading a journal, as it added a touch of nostalgia and a sentimental feel. characters are realistic and 10/10.
Hoshi Mamoru Inu
i didnt cry but god, i almost did. for a debut (first) work, it was really well-written, philosophical, heartwarming and touching. the second chapter is about the interconnected stories of multiple individuals, which adds another layer to the emotional impact.
Ao no Flag
ch5. damnn... unrequited love rocks when its actually angsty this is everything I ever want in bl. i want it not strictly bl, but with bl elements that are delved into, and grounded themes many can relate to. such as reconciling and dealing with unrequited feelings for someone of the same gender. i love how everything mc learns with each character culminates into an intense montage of mc being so utterly torned over the revelation that his childhood friend was in love with him. it turned everything upside down, but mc wouldn't have responded so maturely without having those discussions with mani about girls and boys being friends, and masuo and his friends' consultation about homophobia. i have to admit, i was with the girl duo's opinion but shingo's logical counterargument and masuo's disclosure about his being molested really put masuo's homophobic feelings into perspective. that was probably my favorite part of the story.
Will you marry me again if you are reborn?
ch11. uhhhhh... did the sister (7) get married with the older dude(32)???
