Can We Become a Family?
ch 30. too much unnecessary panels and dialogue, too little action, the art doesn't really help either (it's nice, but I'm not sure it's suited to this type of story. I think this should have more of a somber, tense tone bc of the stakes). honestly, the sequence of events is good and natural but it progresses slower than it should've been. def feel that the webnovel would be better. also annoying how the narrative praise the mc like she's the smartest, most cunning puppet master. granted, she is cunning but the overpraising gets annoying... esp since the antagonists so far aren't that smart themselves. also, it's kinda trivial but the part when the phillipa burst into eudes's room and gets into an altercation with Charlotte is a plot hole cuz it's stated that she was locked up, and nowhere does it mention how she escaped. honestly considering the effect on the following events, was this small incident even necessary to add? it caused more meaningless drama but ultimately didn't really inconvenience the mc.

ch20. so that receding hairline four-eyes IS more or less involved in his bro's death. but anyway, the fights and angle shots and mono colors and a relatively realistic storyline with a not-over-the-top end goal would be an interesting movie, or tv series ch54. man, i thought mc is like late 20s to mid 30s, didn't expect him to be 40 yo. the story isn't about a new exciting revenge-driven chapter in mc's life after his bro's death, well, it is, but it's more like stirring up chaos before retiring from the thug life, or dying. i really like the storytelling, it's not exhilarating, nor melodramatic. it's subtle, but still fierce and aggressive. it's kinda bittersweet that enemies or not, a lot of people want mc to win. and it's interesting that those people i thought were kind to mc were actually the culprits. and mc KNEW they were, but didnt go after them in the beginning
Zetsubou ni Nake
one of the better stories out there utilizing the rape trope and its consequences properly. they both complex charas did wrong to the other, but it's not trivialised nor forgotten, but they both helped each other. it's a pity tho, all this entanglement and resentment wouldn't have happened if akamine didn't drunk-rape utsumi.
Fukushuu no Miboujin
most of the characters r so twisted. mc is a psychopath. thought she was just a vengeful woman living for revenge, that's why she's able to sleep with her enemies... but she's crazy she loves her deceased husband tho i don't think it was a pure love at all cuz she did cheat on him with his brother, and she's emotionally involved with 'makoto' for lack of a better word (bc that guy taught her programming and honed her skills). i thought makoto is the only normal guy in this series, but i wonder what's his connection to the other 'makoto' with the burnt scars. anyways, i only started reading this out of curiosity but was quickly immersed in the story like i don't know how this would end, probably bittersweet to straight tragedy, but this is just so good.
