Queen Cecia's Shorts
queen cecia is strong cool and capable personified. yuri is capable bubbly smart personified. arsinoe is gentle pure humble personified, strong nevertheless. unfortunately, i want lester to be ml (honestly bc I feel bad for him. 2nd lead syndrome) but the age difference is offputting. but then again, the same could be said about yuri's crush on the duke. sighhh, we wouldn't have this controversy if the author just have lester stay as a father figure. this is one of the stories where it's better to have just one love interest.
IF AI RULES THE WORLD
ch. 34 woah that was interesting. so the robot just gave a prediction, not specifically for him, but targeted towards the lady ch 50. woahhh that was an interesting, albeit realistic twist if the world is ruled by ai that has independence.
Philia Rose - The Prophecy of the Crown of Thorns
unexpectedly good. i really like both male leads. lowkey ship philia with didi, but leo is a such a great chara too- cheeky, intelligent, and to top it off, a sad past. lol.
Dr Frost
even tho it was a psychological autopsy about a girl who had already committed suicide, the storytelling brought me to tears. it was subtle and not over-the-top grief and guilt and so on point! ch 162, that was all his hallucination?
Ilwon Dog
what. no this can't be the end. wasted so much potential. i read this expecting this whole chara development arc for cale-look-alike to realize what an asshole he's being to that puppy seme. and then apologize to the disgusted seme, and spend some chapters righting his wrongs... but no, it ended with seme still being the clueless idiot that he is and the uke a shameless and unapologetic gold digger. fuck, the only reason i somewhat like this is bc of the art and fun dynamic, which i only like bc it reminds me of a certain manhwa.
Mahou Shoujo JIhen
have a lot of potential; absolutely amazing how all the magical people can change genders so it could be bl, gl or straight lol
Fuji no Yamai wa Fushi no Yamai
ch8- i think i have read enough chapters to judge. and the verdict issss.... it's ok. as usual in manga, women are treated as plot device/fanservice/put on a pedestal. most of the men are cartoonishly evil antagonists. it's also pretty edgy. the worldbuilding is neither super complex nor has a lot of depth. the storytelling just doesn't generate enough curiosity in me about the mystery surrounding the 'parasites/aliens'. however, I will say I like how the parasitic forms are inspired by myths/stories around the world. also, does his powers even require him to be a doctor? cuz all he has to do is to be infected by whatever, his body regenerates/produces antibodies on a superhuman level, then he spray blood on said whatever to "cure" them. mc himself isn't really a interesting enough chara to force myself to continue reading- he's supposed to be seen as a maniac who's actually a good person, but I've read more compelling pyschos than he'll ever be.
MADK
should not have read this before going to sleep. had a nightmare. the characterization of the charas are so fascinating. only the most twisted, cruel demons can survive in their society.
