oh how the plot thickens...! scarlet is honestly the best chara; connie can get annoying sometimes with her naivite, but she is a cutie. the airhead count (the ml) is there.

ch 39. that motherfuker ml realized mc wasn't actually pregnant. frankly, I'm not disappointed at the ml bc he's been a brutish asshole from chapters one, and people like that don't change overnight. I'm largely disappointed at fl. this kind of mc who is weak-willed and softhearted only to her husband despite of his verbal abuse and neglect is simply pathetic. like fuck just say something to him already. she's no different from those annoying fl who are supposedly calma and collected yet becomes flustered whenever ml is there. honestly, i wished she died, so winter would forever be depressed bc he doesn't know how to communicate and hate himself intensely yet he won't be able to repent bc the fl is dead. it'll be the most cathartic. ch 51. literally gonna tear my hair off bc she is so obviously still in love with him. at this point, id rather they not be honest with their feelings and just die alone bc they're so dislikable as characters.

the men's designs are good but the story is boring. not enough exposition set up so i have no idea about the plot. so far, the male lead candidates are boring (the arrogant ml is so flat with no hints of actual depth; like being a pos is his only trait). the mc's is boring; I think he's supposed to be the lively and fiery type but it just falls flat bc all he does is react and its not even funny/endearing and within just 7 chapters, he's blushing at the ml candidates bc they so handsome (especially the arrogant one that tried to kill him, like he actually blushed and thought, "he can smile like that?" to that pos.). maybe there is some shit/overarching plot going on but everything is bland as fuck bc it's poorly executed.

sad that arin still yearns for iza. sana, rather than being swept by the sense of meaninglessness and numbness, it's more like being drowned by that feeling. she is slowly losing her humanity, yet still remains human because she is fundamentally different from the red fox. the red fox in this sequel is slowly learning human emotions such as jealousy, or rather, deciphering it, and how his 'love' evolved from that of the prequel.

it's a bit confusing, and you as the reader really have to draw conclusions on your own. ch 6. so black-hair, despite knowing hisar(?) could be forced into allowing the revolt, used this chance to let the visars understand that the shadows of war is close upon them. whether hisar is innocent or not, he did not care, and went over to his province to suppress the uprising, but it turns out that the enemy empire's army, which exceeds his numbers, was behind him. if black-hair tried to suppress the revolters (the arabas), their fellow clansmen outside will def not stand for this, and so this would allow a chance for the empire to intervene with a just cause. i think. ch. 19. solid plot without any contrived tropes. it's all about politics and the greater benefits before friends and stuff- basically nationalism. it's no coincidence that suleyman bey looks like the older version of mc, he's the more mature version who traveled and is actually competent (not to say mc isn't, but he is still naive in world politics). ch 25. i cant deny it any longer...... im not entirely sure what's going on. all i know is that the political opponent is wayyy intelligent.

ch 52. it really is an annoying plot device to have an extra oppose the mc bc of jealousy. he should be a smart guy, but why doesn't he know that when it comes to light that the pregnancy is indeed imaginary, he will face severe consequences and even his license might be revoked? what a moron, losing his entire career bc he wanted to one-up the mc.

it's interesting, the character has depth and complex, but it's delivered in such a bland way... the misunderstandings are dragged to prolong drama/arguing and as of ch 19, all that i remembered that happened is some guys are targeting hayden and felix? it's so slow to progress

ch 78. hmm it kinda got boring, the plot is meandering like the author doesn't really know how to move forward so they just added funny and fluffy stuff; the lovey-dovey stuff between the leads are kinda boring now. the first 20~ chapters when mc was unaware of ml's identity was more interesting.
